You have a glitch in your Shadow Hearts soundtracks. Both Shadow Hearts: Covenant OST and Shadow Hearts: From the New World OST have a description saying "From the New World OST" and the exact same file size. I'm guessing there was a mixup, or something. If you could correct that, that'd be great.

And thanks a whole hell of a lot for all these uploads, they're terrific!

Of course. I apologize for not having credited you... when I had created this post, I had already had a lot of these things downloaded, and I hadn't kept track of where I had gotten them all from, so please don't think that I was trying to sell it as my own. Credit has been given on the main post.

And if anyone else sees something in this post that you think I've gotten from something that you yourself have ripped, please let me know, and I'll give credit where credit is due.

Every time I try to re-upload a movie soundtrack, it's deleted within a few hours... anyone got any suggestions as to other sites I could use?

Any fileshare system would work, I prefer rapidshare, but any other will do. Just pack the files in a rar or zip archive and use a password, when using rar make sure to encrypt the header, too. And don't use a proper filename or file description, call it something like '2F2unrelTx.rar' if it's unreleased Final Fantasy 2 tracks (just an example). This way, the archive cannot be scanned or identified and the file hoster cannot know what it is, so they cannot delete it so soon. Next thing: Don't post direct links! Robot search engines helping file hosters to identify archives may find this, so make sure no search engine will find the link posted: post a graphic of the link or use a wrong link any user could correct (like xttp\\rapixshare.cox\files\2F2unrelTx.rar) for example. Now any user would know that it's not xttp, that \ must be replaced by / and that it's rapid and .com, not rapix and .cox. But a computer program doesn't, so your links will remain undetected. Or upload a .txt file with the correct link, but only link to the textfile in the forum. The wrong links idea is less work, because you can edit your list in a text editor and use find/replace to mess it up, then copy and paste to the forum post. Of course it will be a little more work for users to download (they must copy and paste the link, then correct it) but this is much better than files getting deleted all the time.
Hope that helps!

BTW, if you try this out, could you start with the Fatal Frame 1+2 soundtracks? If have been looking for them for ages...

To whom it may concern (that's all uploaders)

The ideas I posted about how to protect files from being deleted ONLY help to prevent files from AUTOMATIC detection. But there might be a troll/spy/traitor in the forum who keeps filing complaints to file hostes manually, so if there is such a person he could correct the messed up links and get them deleted again. I've heard that some other boards had problems with trolls like that, but they have also found a SOLUTION: There is a link protecting service called lix.in (just enter 'lix.in' in your browser to go there). Here, you can enter your link (not messed up, the real one) and lix.in will give you a new link to their proxy server. This link you can post, because if anyone clicks it, they will be redirected to the lix.in proxy that will connect to the filehoster instead. The downloader will never see the original link and thus cannot figure out what it is. In combination with a non-telling filename and an encrypted rar archive (you can post the password here on board or PM it to everyone who wants to know) this should give maximum security! I know lix.in works with rapidshare.com, I haven't tried with other file hosters.

Hope that helps EVEN MORE

Regards to all uploaders, KMB

Hello Domingo , this is just a suggestion..

What about grouping your soundtracks with "GoronMoron" ?
I guess his post is going to be the biggest one ever on FFS forums..

What about doing a big huge post with lots of uploaders and an amazing mass of links ?

.. in contrary of having 200 posts to browse with 200 users sharing their collections (with a lot of similtudes in titles available) ?

+ More uploaders / uploads
+ More soundtracks
+ Faster re-up if link dead
+ Less work for every uploaders
+ Less time to spend to search for soundtracks for users
- Only 1 person will have the "opening post"..

Again this is just a suggestion .. But i am nearly shocked this idea did not come before from users.

Wouldn't it be better to have a rar within a rar? I'm guessing that with the password, when they check what you've uploaded, they cant confirm that they are soundtracks... but the names, including the mp3 extension all show, the password is asked when you try to extract. Having a second rar inside with the songs would solve that...

Domingo

Ok, so movies through B are uploaded.

Seeing as how this'll take a while, if you've got something on this list that you really can't wait for, either post it here, or send me a PM (I'll be more likely to oblige your request if you PM; also, one request at a time per person, please) and I'll throw it into the queue. Is that even possible? You mean for the indivdual CDs, or for all of them at once? Sorry, not following.

Like, if you want to get the Devil May Cry 1 soundtrack, you have to download parts 1, 2 and 3 before trying to extract them. It's one file that has been split into 3 parts, so if you try to extract one of them without the other two, it won't work.

Awesome stuff, thank you so much, I'm getting a bunch of it right now, total sensory overload. Can't wait for The Italian Job and The Russia House.

Cheers!

I know it's been a huge undertaking to re upload your soundtracks. Please don't forget the Midnight syndicate, and nox arcana albums. Waiting patiently. Thanks

I'll work on those after I've gotten the previous requests up.
