It might mean a legitimately good quality "Together We'll Make A Promise".

There is a program called CDex. I've used it before on a computer running Windows 98 (the normal, not second edition). You might give it a try!

This is a major issue when it comes to ripping scores.

Because the music and voices are on the same audio track, it's more or less impossible to separate them.

If the movie has multiple audio channels, it's feasible, but I doubt any of the Pokemon films come with support for 5.1 Digital Surround.

Dear Arceus! Megaupload is acting up again. The 11th movie keeps timing out, plus the file size is the largest I've seen yet. I have no clue why it's that big, but if someone could put it up without things likes pictures that might reduce the file size somewhat. And to answer you, thomasdaly, I don't have the Johto bgms unless they were used in Kanto as well. I don't have a lot of bgms from Kanto (maybe 20 at most). Since I use the internet at a public computer (at my town's library), I'll have to see what I have at my computer at home & make a list for anyone. The problem is I'd have to send the files over e-mail, & they can't be too big a file, so most likely I'd have to send 1-2 per email. I won't be back on until Wednesday (the next day the library is open), so you'll have to hang on tight until then!

Actually... there probably is... just never released inside the states. Most of the 'English' theme songs, did have singles; just such singles were released outside of the US... from what I've heard about them... mostly all in Europe; though I couldn't tell you who exactly is producing them (my suspicion lies with UK), just that they do exist. As I've seen not only instrumental versions of many of the English themes floating around, but a few Karaoke's.

thomasdaly, do you still have the audio ripped from the 3rd movie DVD that you used to make the score? Because I was wondering if I may have it. I know a guy who ripped the audio from two other DVDs, removed the voices, and made a complete score. So, I would send a link to him to download it, or he could send me a link to the program he uses.

thomasdaly, there's actually 32 tracks, not just 5. My favorite is the Torn World music. It deffinately matches the surrealness of the place in the game.

I have to apologize for the big volume difference. "I'll Always Remember You" is ripped from the DVD, while "Living in the Shadow" is not, it's a recording. I noticed that the version that plays at the menu screen on the DVD was longer than in the credits, and I couldn't rip the menu music, so I had to record it instead!

I've been out of the loop a bit recently, and wanted to check up on what Seary was trying to do: get a link to Thomasdaly's Pokemon Movie 3 score so a program could be used to edit out the voices?

This is a link that contains the 3rd movie rip that Thomasdaly uploaded in August on page 51 of the thread. As I've said, I've been out of the loop a bit so I don't fully know if this is what you're looking for Seary. Either way, hope it helps!

By the way, does anyone have the "Dance of the Bellossom - Instrumental" from the 2nd movie soundtrack? I've never really seen an instrumental version, only one's with the Pokemon singing.

Either way, I have a favor to ask. Could you, or could you ask the guy to make a score of the 4th movie? The Japanese score did have an okay amount of background music, but I'm sure there's more in the movie. Although the Japanese score for the 4th movie isn't lacking as much music as the 3rd, I would really appreciate it if someone could make a *new* 4th movie score, prefferably from the US version of the movie.

I could try to make a rip of the music for the 4th movie US version... I have it on DVD... I did one for the 3rd movie... but it seems the voices are on the normal music tracks... the best that can be done (that I know how to do), is dull them down... at least where they interact with the music itself, everything else is useless... I have yet to do the same for the 3rd's short, and I haven't exactly cut it into tracks either... *is lazy*.

I could try for the 5th Movie US version..., but I don't any after this one. :/

Or, for anyone interested in the process... and has a DVD player/burner (could just be a player I'm sure), on their computer and owns a copy of the DVD wants to try... VLC (http://www.videolan.org/vlc/) you must have the newest version of this player to proceed.

Media-> Convert/Save (a box will open up that reads "Open" at the top)

On the "Disc" tag (2nd tag over), select "No DVD menus"

Normally movies start a 1.0 so for the "Starting Position"

Title 1 (there are up and down arrows to it's right you can click these for the lazy people).
Chapter 0

Click Convert/Save at the bottom (it will now pop up a new box that reads "Stream Output" at the top)

first tag "Encapsulation" there are multiple things you can choose... but for me it's .wav that is preferred (especially for anything with multiple channels).
third tag "Audio codec"

Codec Wav
Bitrate (kb/s) 128 kb/s
Channels 6 (always try to pick a high number, I'll explain why later for those that don't know).

Choose a file name by clicking on the box that says File

you can select where you want it to save by clicking browse... remember to put .wav at the end of whatever you name it.

than at the bottom click "save"

It should than start... this process could take anywhere from 30minutes to an hour... so go do something else. If it does not start, you may need to use a DVD player program to play the feature first... (does not have to be the whole thing, but at least up until the movie itself starts) don't know why, but this seems to kick VLC into action if it's being stubborn with it. If it still doesn't work... than I really don't know what to tell you.

When it finishes, it is recommended you open it in Audacity (http://audacity.sourceforge.net/).

If it was stereo (and pray it was), there will be 6 streams/channels. The top two will be the music, the 3rd seems to be everything else, talking and background noises; though a few of those noises will appear more clearly on the 'tracks' below. If you are lucky, you can select "solo" for the channels (first two) and press play and it will be pure music (as I was with a few other movies I did this with). If you are unlucky, there will be noises and possibly even some talking... (seems lower, much lower).

I wish I could tell you how to dull the voices... but I don't know audacity good enough yet, my brother had to help me with that one for the 3rd Movie. That's one of the reasons I haven't gone back and done it's short, I can't remember how.... ^^;;

I actually got in contact with the person. They have instructions I'm following, but I ran into a snag and contacted him. I don't have an answer yet.

In the cases with some movies however, completely different composers were chosen for them:
the 5th Movie a new composer Coba was added to the mix.
the 8th Movie the composer Taro Iwashiro was added in for the full album/movie.

For specific songs... mostly only the CDs could tell you exactly which one's he's composed. Perhaps there is a list somewhere of every song he's ever done... but it's unlikely.

Usually that type of stuff is listed as what CD(s)/show(s)/movie(s) he may have helped on... or did for a fact help on; as is the case with most composers. Which doesn't always mean they composed everything on that CD(s)/show(s)/movie(s), etc..

Tried looking around and I couldn't find working links for my request so I think it's best to ask here.
I'm looking for this background music. I thought the Sound Anime Collection had it but apparently not... I have no idea what the name of the song or what album/single it came in but here's a video on Youtube that may hopefully help. Springberry Symphony Orchestra needs your help!
Devotees will remember that I represent (and conduct) a 100-piece unregistered orchestra called Springberry Symphony. Well, I got together with a few people on the council and we decided to reward you guys for existing.

The orchestra would like to make a remix album of songs from all over the Pokemon universe. That's where you come in! If you read down this far, please take the time to suggest one or two songs from anywhere Pokemon for our symphony to play! They can be from games, or the anime, or the movies, or anywhere! As long as it's Pokemon, We'll find it, we'll arrange it, and we'll play it.

This project is entirely non profit and we are not affiliated with the Pokemon Company in any way. We will reveal the final tracklisting after we receive enough qualified suggestions. The album will be available for download the moment it is mastered, right here on this thread as an exclusive to the purveyors of Final Fantasy Shrine.

It's an anime synth remix of the RBY Gym theme. Never released though. What's even sadder is that this theme was also later recorded with a full orchestra. Has a beautiful bridge. Sadly, neither have ever seen the light of day on CD. I'll try to find a YouTube clip of the fully orchestrated version.

It's 128Kbps but it sounds alright. I took out all the Pokemon sounds after Pikachu since they didn't really add to the song and it made the actual volume of the song itself lower since they were quite loud.

track 1 is a jp song this track is only for thoose who speak the language so i will not rate it but its cathy so 5/5


track 2 ok very year we hear this song the world of pokemon and most years its the same song but not this year it very good its remixed piano bells this track will make you fell good 5/5


track 3 we also hear this every year ask ketchum his theme and this year it also been mixed same with bells and piano so 5/5


track 4 Awakening is a creepy tracks engergetic its what you exept in a pokemon movie so 5/5

track 5 the title theme this year they took the destiny deoxyz theme and remixed it the opening are always great and this year is no different 5/5

track 6 Attenna of the heart this piece is the usual travel music im tired lets take a rest and its great also its the ending song orchestred 5/5

track 7 swimming in the river is piece of music taken from the game pokemon diamond and pearl platinum and tv series but remixed this is the first remix of the ablum so far the other track 1 2 and 4 cant be included as we hear this track every year 5/5

track 8 Lake Michīna its just an introduction to a new place 5/5


track 9 Dialga this is dialga theme its so good it took them 3 years to give the gods a theme but they did it and boy did they do it good its kinda like recuse music 5/5

track 10 Giratina now giratina theme take 2 piece tracks from the pokemon movie 11 score and blends them together to make a new piece its gr8 also movie 11 music is the only music you can give giratine and boy the 2 tracks blended together they did a gr8 job 5/5

track 11 palkia now we hear palkia theme and its acceptable its repeat dialga theme just tweaked a little since there both gods then it can be accepted but still 3/5 it lost 2 marks for repeativness but there is a nice horn a the end

track 12 dawn picture this track just music thayt plays when the charaters are talking really just string the usual happy music 5/5

track 13 sheena the protecter seroius track hear same as track 12 the characters talking the usual 5/5

track 14 battle of the gods now before i even listened to this track i was thinking finally in a pokemon battle in a movie cas it hasent been done since pokemon movie 3 but this track is gr8 but as the composer does every year he repeats himself over and over and over and opver just like pokemon movie 11 but overall this track is gr8 also 5/5

track 15 Beyond the Continuum i magine this some of team rocket track it very childish then we hear pokemon movie 12 music its time travel music its overall gr8 also 5/5

track 16 Solar Eclipse Day this is a weird track very weird for a pokemon movie indeed but for change it get 5/5 think desert level in a mario game

track 17 Arceus' Anger once again the composer repeats himself this track is the exact same as track 4 1/5 for lazyness

track 18 Jagged-eared Pichu Carries On great tracks happy kiddy music it will make you smile and enjoy the sillyness funny plot of whatever story pichu has 5/5

track 19 Arrival of Arceus just epic just f**cking epic the chours is ***** brillant in the track best track in the hole movie 5/5

track 20 16 Plates its another epic track when the god apears with his plates 5/5

track 22 budded life its a lovely track so catchy also reminds of the jirachi movie 5/5

track 23 The Jagged-eared Pichu's Great Achievement more sillyness 5/5

track 24 Satoshi VS Gishin finally a pokemon battle and its nice battle music until it slows down but it does spped up again so 5/5

track 25 Conquer it! The Continuum Laws! creepy music the ots same track as 4 and 17 but this is way longer and has new music its very creepy very creepy it will scare the shit of you FACT in the cinema some kids left the cinema this bit was to scary so i cnt wait to see this 5/5


track 26 Revival the usual a pokemon dies comes back to life la la la la 5/5

track 27 Farewell, Children of the Future good bye music all sad like all pokemon movie this track this track is also remixed it has arcecus theme and the title theme remixed into it very nice indeed 5/5

track 28 Rebirth why does a pokemon die and come back to life every movie lol track nice tho the compser repeats himself alot in this track 5/5

track 29 Towards the Future a lovely ending song 5/5

Gotcha. Well, maybe you'll get lucky and it will show up on the new BGM music CD getting released next month that supposedly has BGM from Kanto to Hoenn. Hopefully they'll put music that is not already released in other albums.

thomasdaly, there's actually 32 tracks, not just 5. My favorite is the Torn World music. It deffinately matches the surrealness of the place in the game.

I have to apologize for the big volume difference. "I'll Always Remember You" is ripped from the DVD, while "Living in the Shadow" is not, it's a recording. I noticed that the version that plays at the menu screen on the DVD was longer than in the credits, and I couldn't rip the menu music, so I had to record it instead!

Can anyone find the song in Pokemon Heroes when Latios uses Sight Sharing with Latias and brings everyone into space to see the Earth, then giving them the new Soul Dew? It is possibly one of the most beautiful songs in that movie (and the anime, since I did hear it recently in Galactic Battles in ep 47 The Battle Finale of Legend). It isn't in the posted ost(s), and I absolutely cannot find it. Is there a way to either rip it out of the movie (without the voices/sound effects of course), or is it on a soundtrack that I have yet to see?

Unfortunately, the only way is to rip the movie and I don't think you can rip out the voice and sound effects so you're out of luck. Movie soundtracks before (I think?) the 8th movie weren't really comprehensive so unfortunately there is no way to get what you want. Maybe it'll turn up if Media Factory ever releases a compilation of anime-only songs but it seems like that won't happen anytime in the near future.
