Out of all 11 pages in this thread, I can't believe you're the only person to point this out. I downloaded the soundtrack, listened to it, and I couldn't believe my ears: the bass was entirely gone, which ruins the songs. I then proceeded to look throughout this thread for someone to re-upload it, but you're the only other person to mention it.

Why has no one else noticed this? And why is the bass missing from the entire soundtrack? :(

Oh wow, thank you!!! I've been looking everywhere for the Legends and Adventure OSTs over the course of a week, and this will do the trick! All I have to do is download Discs 1 and 5, and that'll do me good!

EDIT: Man, whoever paid for the Castlevania Best Music Collections BOX got gypped. None of the NES music is how it originally was, as a ton of artificial reverb has been added to the tunes and has ruined the songs by making them muddy and less crisp. Even Adventure was ruined! Thankfully, the Legends OST wasn't ruined, and it turns out that that was the only OST I was originally asking for, so I'm grateful for that at least.

Still, this means that even after a week's worth of searching, I still have yet to find the original Adventure OST. I shall prevail!

Have you tried the 2 disc set called "Akumajou Dracula Best Volume 2"? The first contains music from Super Castlevania 4, while the second has music from Castlevania Adventures 1 & 2. The download link is found on the 1st page of this thread.

Thanks for pointing me in that direction, but unfortunately, that disc is also littered with reverb. It's more tolerable than what was on the Best Music Collection BOX, but I'll still have to pass on it. I consider myself a soundtrack purist, in that it has to sound exactly the same as it did in the game itself--just as you mentioned, Rock-X, in how you heard the bass in Legends but were disappointed that it was lacking in the soundtrack link. Plus, the GameBoy was not capable of reverb, only programmed delay, therefore the compositions were not made with reverb in mind, thus resulting in a few muddy sections here and there. What makes companies think it's okay to add reverb to old music? It just makes it muddy--Nintendo is also guilty of this with their Link's Awakening release.

Once again, thanks anyways, Rock-X. I shall continue looking for a non-tainted soundtrack of Castlevania Adventure, and listen to it the way it was originally made.
