I can't really imagine anything coming close to the FF fandom, so I'm curious what you guys think ~

Final Fantasy, as you said, pretty much ranks up there as the most popular.

Other Square titles, such as Chrono Trigger/Cross seem to take up quite a position as well. Others that you may not think of included Donkey Kong Country (I, II and III) as well as the Sonic The Hedghog series.

I often see Castlevania ranked highly as well, along with Devil May Cry.

I would say Final Fantasy and Zelda, hands down.

Yeah FF has the most popularity, even though I'm not into the series.

Mario's series are unforgettable, should also be ranked pretty high, possible for Zelda next up. Other high rated: CastleVania, Kingdom Hearts, Metal Gear

Those are my thoughts.

I think Silent Hill has quite a large fanbase, but I personnaly don't like it. FInal Fantasy and Sonic are the most well known in terms of VGM.
