Hi there.

First, don't blame me for my bad english, I'm from Germany, and with FFXII not released there this is my only way to find anwers to my two questions:

Well, I want to know if it's necassary to lvl all Characters up? I really dislike Balthier & Penelope, so I would really let them be we're there right now ( lvl 9 / 21 ; others 26) .. so in fact: Can I beat the Game ( and the bonus Bosses ) with just Basch / Vaan & Fran or do I need all of them lvl up to maximum?

And my second question:

Is there any guide out yet where to lvl? I really like doing the Hunts and the Game parallel also the sidequests as soon as possible.

So I started to lvl my 3 loved Chars in the Lushu Mines to 20 at the Bridge ( Skelletons),and I know wonder where to go next. So, any complete List outthere? Or just tell me about your lvl habbits(?).

Example?

[13-20] Lushu Mines Skelletons at Bridge
[20-XX] XXX
[XX-XX] XXX [... and so on and so on ...]

So, hope to hear from ya, best wishes.

It is not necessary to level evenly. With no exceptions that I can think of, it is entirely possible to beat the game using only a single party.

Secondly, if you are where I suspect you are in the game, it sounds to me like you're way overleveled. You don't even want to do all that much leveling yet until you get to rather later in the game, when you get a delightful accessory known as Embroidered Tippet that doubles your earned EXP.

Hmm well I had to lvl up to 20 because of the Mark Hunts. Rockatoise and Cluckatrice was quite to strong if I had challegend them with .. well I guess I was 12 when I first entered the Mines. So with the Wyrm and other Rank I Hunts before me I want to take them as soon as possible.

I life always in fear that I miss out something if I don't do it just from the start ... it's just my personal feeling :).

Soo... I can beat the game with just Basch, Vaan and Fran, yes? Very nice.

And you mean I should beginn my exping in the mid 30+ I guess, because from there on I can find various postings here on the board, right?

/btw: Where can I find this Embroidered Tippet? Can I miss it? Or do you get it via the progressing story?

First, I would advise against only leveling one party. You can do it, but you have to account for what will happen if your whole party dies. When you switch in your unleveled characters they'll be dead meat. And there are some seriously nasty status effects which bosses will cast across the whole party. It is a nice thing to be able to switch in a reserve member to dispel all the status effects, then switch the reserve back out. Also, having the back up characters to come in and run a quickening can get you out of a jam. But they have to be leveled enough to wistand any attacks that come before they get the quickening off.

The embroidered tippet is in Archades. Which is almost towards the end of the game. I don't know really have a recommended level for an area, but if you get your butt kicked, your not leveled enough.

Level to whatever you want, but early on the game, LP farm is a lot more beneficial than level up.

Umm yeah I'm around level 25 and I can't find the damn cluckatrice. If it would come out I could kill it but it doesn't. >:l

I've talked to all the children to see what they say and they don't say anything about it, I made a sunstone just for fun to see if that would work But it's not working.
Help?

Ok so what you do is kill all of the monsters in the area it is said to come out in and leave then come back in and it should be there

Yeah, that's what you do. Make sure you location on the map reads as Gizas - North Bank. Oh, and is it the rains? Because it won't come out during the rains.

Seriously, my main party is only around Level 30 on my currently playthrough and I am already well past that mark. I've moved on to stuff like Sorbet and Trickster and such. I still think you are way overleveled.

In the stilshrine of Miriam after you defeat the Dark horse things, there is the giant sword. How do you lift it?

It says To the three gaurdians I trust may enter, all others be shunned.

Somehting like that.
I've tried every combination of my party to be the 3 gaurdians , but none of em work.

I've tried equiping the Dawn Shard to ashe as well.

There are 3 giant dragons before that room so do you have to lead them to the word or something?

Help please.

Wow. Completely off-topic, but I'll see what I can do. Throughout the Shrine, I believe there are a total of three rotating pillar things. You have to rotate them so they're all facing the same direction, towards the giant sword thing. Then that gets things opened up.
