Okay in Final Fantasy IV (Theme is Redeption if that helps with the title) I just got all summons but Behumat (I know they are optional) Excalibur, and pretty much anything I can do on the overworld/underworld which just leaves the moon. Now I have a question-am I getting close to the end of the game? Just curious...
i'm pretty much in the same area as you're in, but i need the slyph summon and i didn't get excalibur yet. i could get excalibur now, as well as the sylph summon, but i did the side quest part out of order. i went through the sealed cave first, then i went to the cave of summons. i defeated asura and leviathan, as well as the demon gate. i need to go through the other cave with the sylph's but i'll probably get the frying pan first then go down there since you have to anyway to hit yang with it and get the sylph summon.
anyway, i think you're almost finished with the game. you still are gonna have trials after this though if you want to beat them.

Yep once you get to the moon you are getting close to the end.
lol damn, a month+ ago i hadn't beaten this game. this game was kinda boring...i'm still in the lunar ruins but i put it down once i figured out that i wouldn't be doing one of the character's trials perfectly. i forgot which one...it involved running around town saving ppl and then fighting lunar asura i think or some person.
i was just like fk it. i don't see my self going down these trials again for that one character.
