I won't bore you with "epic" poems about swords or jail time, so I'll just post some short ones that deals with the immediate emotion(s), rather than dragging it out to infinity.
------------------------------------------------------
Vision
My heart, like your eyes;
Always searching, never finding.
------------------------------------------------------
Blinded
Truth be told, I think of you as nothing more than a memory.
Clear as cut crystal lighting, I see flashes of our past.
Blinded, I see but a shadow of who you used to be.
------------------------------------------------------
God
We count our blessing to receive redemption from above;
No one's there to ever question our motives.
Truth be told, will He care if we don't?
------------------------------------------------------
I have some more, but I'll start by posting these.

They say only warriors are poets.
In Skinny Legs And All, there's a character who sees a lot of things as "a little poem." These would probably count.
They're nice, but strike me as fragmentary. Don't really have enough breathing room to convey much. Post something longer.
I think you're right, T.K, but I've always had trouble with rhyming. I can't seem to find a consistent flow when I'm wiriting a poem, so I refrain from rhyming all together.
Nothing wrong with unrhyming poetry.
I have some more.
Love
Lend me some of your heart,
At least the parts you can do without.
------------------------------------------------------
To Be
Is to see and observe how people react to you.
You can't, or should, ever derail from your original agender;
One is to be placed to listen to what your heart has to reveal.
Never to question its authority.
Love.
------------------------------------------------------
Loneliness
Typical for someone who doesn't understand the concept of living.
Living is when all analyzation stops, and when your heart reveals itself.
I agree, they sound like beginnings of poems. Its like hot sex that is over too quickly.
Thanks for your input, guys.
I guess I could conjure up some longer ones, but it might take a bit longer to realize them, as my process is fairly slow.

A strange format to say the least Zulu, but they're great.
Thanks guys. I just wrote this one (it's about a vampire, well, it is! xD):
Morning
Look out to morning;
Days of a dawning sun.
Colors of Crimson,
Came and gone.
No more to love;
My days in the sun.
The day is long,
For the chosen one.
These days of darkness,
Will soon be gone.
New poem titled "Ireland".
Ireland
For several years the wind did stop to tell us of Her pain.
The falling leaves did begin to scream in anguish and in shame.
The broken rocks and smashing waves did warn us of our pride,
If we were to mistreat this land of ours, then by all means go and hide.
These drops of rain bear a color unknown to us for years,
If only we understood how painful it is for Her to shed a single tear.
When fires burn they leave a print of history and greed,
These crimes we did commit has fallen upon of sacred seed.
Those are better. I like Morning, Ireland I wasn't as keen on. Good job writing about a subject without blatantly writing about it.

i like 'vision' a lot. i think that having a concise freeform poem is so much better than a rhyming poem that drones on without saying anything. gj
Motherhood
Beating inside me forcefully, but faint;
My cruel creation, our kingdom belongs to such as thee.
---------------------------------------------------------------
Jah
I and I talks about His intentions;
All creation He gave life.
Too much corruption among nation and nation.
Design of all things earthly;
Jah, teach us to live in unison.
---------------------------------------------------------------
Yeshua
The day is long,
Hard and unyielding for the chosen one.
Journey through the Cedar forest;
Jerusalem will appear in the distance,
With His voice as a whispering comfort.
Always listening.

Interesting format of poetry, short yet powerful still understanding. I like the details you give which gives a story but its into short little words of poetry. In my opinion what format your best comfortable in, is your best poetry will be. Like how Blinded short yet understanding :)
Thank you so much, guys. I have so more coming.
Jah - I See
Creation, all stored within his care.
Mighty oceans, gathered by the look of his stare.
We all come to realization,
His true words are the keys to our salvation.
---------------------------------------------------------------
Flame: Burned
Comforts me with a hurt only love can be the cause of.
---------------------------------------------------------------
Looking with My Eyes
Constantly hoping your true colour will appear.
Tar Babies
Lord, lead us on.
Lord, tell us why yesterday's gone.
Lord, provide us with an answer,
Lord, our sordid history nothing but cancer.
Lord, yellow leaves we did use to share,
Lord, dwelleth underneath your watchful stare.
I know this thread is old, but I found one of my "old" poems. :)

I like Morning a lot....
A lot of them are short, though I do like most of them <3
Ghostly Tears
My tears are constantly mourning you,
Ever since the day the angels came for you.
My little white flowers are slowly turning grey,
Petals have been falling ever since that very day.
It's been a long time since they came for me,
Yet I walk these shores in hopes of finally see.
