For those who enjoys J-pop/rock music, do you just like the music itself or also the language that's used in it?
Do you understand the lyrics?
I'm enjoying L'arc en Ciel, X-Japan and Janne da Arc.
What other bands should I check out that I might like?

i normally like the language in it more than the background music, but some bands/singers i really like (which are slightly old school) are: ayumi hamasaki, utada hikaru, nami tamaki, T.M Revolution, asian kung-fu generation(they are amusing to listen too) Megumi hayashibara, Boa, and my personal favorite Two-Mix

I'm starting to get back into J-Music. My aunt (who is phillipino) got me into japanese stuff when I was really little, and even though I'm not asian at all, I feel really connected to Japanese culture. I'm trying to learn the language more in depth, but my dad wants me to improve on my Spanish first.

Anyway, my top favourites are BoA, Arashi, Hikaru Utada, FLOW, Gackt, NEWS, Se7en, Tamaki Nami, Tommy February6, and the K-Pop group SeeYa. (although they sound a bit much like SG WANNAbe, but i guess that's the point) Anything really upbeat and Pop-ish on any of the Bemani series is good too ^_^
