FFX-2 was abysmal, just as FFX was. FFX-3? Fuck off.

I've played X-2 in the recent weeks and after finally giving it a fair chance, I can indefinitely deduce that it is the worst move Square made since that awful Spirits Within. Eck.

Also, Greg, I'm stealin' your card to use myself from time to time ;) Hope you don't mind; I'll give it back, I promise :D

Well :/ I for one didn't like FFX-2 that much but if X-3 came out damn right I'd buy it haha but you'd better gimme control of Lulu and Wakka again! I liked those characters and they have potential, just FFX-2 was more of a ...Game with half naked anime chicks while at an attempt to stick to the main storyline

Not gonna happen. Square is too busy remaking their old games and sucking FFVII's dick.

I'd say Final Fantasy X-2 was a disappointment not in the "Its a terrible game" sense because the game was beautiful, and fun to play and explore, and encouraged a 2nd play through to 100%

However I would argue that X-2 was a disaster in terms of a "sequel." There was a shockingly underwhelming amount of new content to explore. There were just a few new areas, none of which were very long, and they were just an extension of what you uncovered in the past game.

The soundtrack was far less mesmerizing that FFX's. Yeah, I played the shit out of Eternity Memory of Lightwaves, but everything else was forgettable until Last Mission's Seal of the Wind.

Then you take the beloved Savior of Spira and turn her into a pop idol because thats what everyone wants. Then you slut her up, along with her cousin, and trade their personalities with ditzier bimbo ones, then you add a bathing suit Hot Spring scene, and forever ruin the respectable image you once had for that character. What happened to my strong willed and determined Yuna? Did her personality fly out the window just as quickly as her clothes?

Final Fantasy X-2 is great game, but its a terrible sequel.

I can't wait what they'll do to Lightning/Claire in FF13-2. The armor she's wearing in the trailer is just ridiculous.

lol, The next installment to the world of spira would like become an algebra equation. So, 1-X for Braska's story or X-X (which equals 0) to experience the battle between Yunalesca's lineage and the final summoning. Aside from these factors and how Yunalesca's resolve to interweave faith as a way to fix humanity or an ulterior motive to a bigger picture (which would further make you wonder what the hell), Final Fantasy 0 wouldn't get a chance at being a coherent story without sacrificing key elements of the original X or becoming overly diplomatic and political. "Returning to the old ways of Black Mages and White Mages" than being simply put a mage user for example.

Actually Revan is referring to the thread being revived when it was dead and buried.

Although I do not officially moderate this section, as a general rule, if a thread is older than several months and has disappeared from the first page, leave it buried. Having said that though, there is no official rules governing thread necromancy, so I don't know.

While I admit none of the FF series from X onwards (apart form XI but that's a MMORPG and a different animal altogether) appealed to me Mrcenary Raven, I do concede that there are some people who do like them. In any event, as the aforementioned second thread like this was closed, I think a moderator/admin should close this as well.
