Is there any worth while action games on the market for ps2, GC, DS or PSP because I find it hard to find a decent game.

This is too vague. We could easily mention a game that you already have or you might not like the series.

Both Lego Star Wars are pretty good fun (though intended for kids) they have some really good Stars Wars/Lego comedy in them. On a more serious note, the Prince of Persia games, Sands of Time and Warrior Within, are pretty good in terms of action.

The Resident Evil series (however you may dont like survival horror), god of war, god of war 2 which will come out on ps2, the lego starwars series, prince of persia, devil may cry, chaos legion (ps2). Well thats all ive got:)

I do like the The Resident Evil series. I have played a few of them. Prince of persia really annoyied me.

Get Capcom Classics Collection for PS2 (LOL CAPCOM) and play Final Fight if you never have. The second one coming out in a few weeks has Strider and Captain Commando which are also worth playing.
