Does anyone know of some more information about this game. All it says on Nintendos site is it is going to be kinda like Interactive Cartoon?
I hope this isn't going to be like those Sega CD games where all you do is push a button at certain points. If it is I will be very dissapointed in Nintendo.
Uh, NO, it will not be like that. What they mean by "interactive cartoon" is that it will use cel-shaded graphics like Sega's Jet Set Radio series. A lot of people are very dissapointed in this, but I personally think it's going to be cool. The only thing I didn't like about it was that Link's eyes looked really stupid, but Shigeru Miyamoto says that he changed them since then, so I can't wait to see how it ends up looking.
I just think everyone should be more open-minded towards this game than most people have been. Change is good.
moved this to RPGs, Zelda being an RPG and all. I don't think it will be an CD-I style game. Miyamoto's philosophy is simple gameplay based around intuitive controls. It'll be Zelda. You won't need a lot of buttons. And you'll have fun.

I have never played the Jet Set Radio series, and I really do'nt know what cel-shaded graphics are. If it is anything like the Zelda 64 series it will be great (although I didn't like Majora's mask cause the story line was stupid).

Cel Shading is used in games like Jet Grind Radio, Cel Damage, Klonda 2, Pet Fighters for the PS2. It gives everything the 3D cartoony look.
Hmm... an interactive cartoon... lets just hope that this thing will have some replay value... It's not like this is the simpsons or something... reruns... heh...

The gameplay will have that classic zelda thing and from the looks of it, at the last E3 it's not a point and button bash game, just like n64's Zelda's ... I think :)
As for his new look, I'm getting more into it, I didn't like it at first, but it's Shigeru Miyamoto's game we are talking about and with his talents he will make it a damn good game.

The game looks well kind of rubbish, who saw the other Zelda footage when he was fighting Ganon, it looked superb, I wish they had stuck to those graphics. But it's not all just about graphics, I think it will play nicely

One thing I've always thought games should have, is something that they did in Crono Trigger and BoF3 (I think)...
Have special modes so after you beat the game, you get some bonuses for next game, ie; keep stats or spells, or equip...
Make it so you can show those early bosses who their daddy is, ya know?

i still havent made up my mind on weather i like the new zelda or not. some times i really like the fresh new visual and some-what childish style. and some times id wish for the same sorta game as the two zelda 64 titles. i think the closer we come to release day, and the more information we get, the more people will start to like it. either way im still going to be there waiting at the shops early in the morning come release day.

It is gonna pretty much be a cartoon, they were on the right track with the realism of ZELDA: Ocarina of Tima and Majora's Mask.. But why go to cartoony graphics it just doesn't make sense...

I think people need to quit crying about cel-shaded or cartoony graphics, its about how the game plays and if its fun.:alien: :eye:

Zelda has always proven to be unique like back in the old 8-bit nes days...the legend of zelda was like an overhead style game then ya got legend of zelda 2 wich was a side scroller then on and on zelda rockz..although the original screens looked nice..but the cel-shaded doesnt seem to bad. i think people will have thier foot in thier mouth when the game is actually released and they play it...i dont see zelda being a let down but then i might be the one with the foot in the mouth...i say dont knock it until you tried it . peace.

Would you believe that the promise of a new Zelda game is my only motivation to go and buy game cube? I plan to buy them both on the same day. I would try anything with the Zelda name plastered on it :) I've been a fan since the early days and have like every Zelda game in existence.......I would expect only greatness for the new Zelda.......whatever the graphics are I just cannot wait to get back into the game :D

I like the new style of graphics. Reminds of Zelda: LTTP on Snes.
Let's hope that the gameplay is better than MM...

If you think the gameplay was bad in MM, then you thought it was bad in OoT, because they were exactly the same.
And the only reason I dont like the new Zelda is because it will look to fake, the Zelda people said
"The character design for Link has gone from a realistic, almost dark presentation to one that can be best described as Disney-fied, utilizing the nigh on omnipresent cel-shading graphics style. Those who have been poring over the screens from E3 will no doubt be a little disappointed. Miyamoto's hesitance to use the more adult-looking version arose when he considered what age Link should be in the new game, and whether a grown up Link was something that he really wanted to pursue."
But I like the darker side of Link. Makes it more dramatic I guess.
