Did anyone else think Final Fantasy Tactics had a great story or was it just me? (Tactics for PS not GBA)

The only thing i thought was wrong with it was that alot of people got murdered

It was great! I like Ramza. His sense of justice is inspiring.

It would been a great choice if they putted Ramza instead of Gabranth in Dissidia Final Fantasy.

Final Fantasy Tactics has one of the greatest storylines I've ever seen in videogames... that must mean it's good?

It was ok, being able to change jobs was great. I preferred Vandal Hearts over it though.

Tactics is among my favorite games ever! The music, the graphics (hey, they were great for its time, and they work for the game), the story, and the customization.. Love it! I'm more partial to the PSP port (with amazing new cutscenes and story elements), because it feels like the definitive version imo.

It's funny that you revived a thread that I started 4 years ago because this is the first post of made on ffshrine in 2 years

In short, Final Fantasy Tactics is a FF version of Konami's Vandal Hearts, which was released a full year beforehand.

Let's lay down the pro's and con's of FF Tactics, shall we?

PRO'S
-Storyline (in my opinion, best story of any FF, or at least top 3; it was very twisting, suspenseful, rich, and unpredictable. The plot was pretty easy to follow as well)
-Music (Nearly every song was excellent and memorable)
-Characters (Ramza is one of the best main characters; while you grow attached to all the characters in the story)
-Battle system (fucking awesome...well structured, very fun, and unique)
-Graphics (very good for the time, and for the ps1)
-Replay Value (I have replayed more than any other RPG i've owned, enough said)

CON'S
-None...

Everybody has their own opinions, and those are the reason's why I love the game so much. I didn't find anything bad about the game... maybe you did, but I didn't. It's called an opinion. Not once did I mention that this game was 100% perfect. Just because I mentioned no flaws from an opinionated standpoint does not mean it's perfect...

EDIT N�2: I can give you some Cons about this game, the horrible AI, the unholy awful translation (PSX version), the horrible voice Acting (PSP Version), the bug of sound & animation on the PSP version(every time you do a skill the game gets slower & buggy until the animation ends), the unbalance between some classes, for example, the Calculator is invincible if you take just 5 minutes to prepare it.
Still I love this game. =D

I hear so much about Vandal Hearts that I might just try it someday.

Never had a PS1 back in the day, so I was late to the party for some of the system's big games. Revisited a lot of the so-called classics; agreed and loved some, disagreed with others. Coincidentally, Final Fantasy Tactics was the exact last one that I did so! (and it fell in the "loved" category)

You may not like Vandal Hearts (probably because you couldn't play it and got killed all the time), I on the otherhand do like it and prefer it over Final Fantasy Tactics. That is my choice. Do I hate FFT? No, not at all. It is a good game, just not as good as VH. That is my opinion and I don't care if you couldn't give a flying fuck.

He runs some of the best elements of the FFT and Tactics Ogre in a very good game. The only part that is really subpar is the story and characters. Hard mode is recommended.
