I Wanna Be The Guy. Most insanely hard game ever. After that is any Touhou game, especially on Lunatic mode. Then any of the classic Megaman games.

Rocket Knight Adventures (Sparkster 1)

I don't really have a hardest game, more like sections in games that just hated me.

Timesplitters 2: The level were you have to follow someone for 1/2 the level without being detected, got all the way into the base and never could finish it. Ever.

Metal Gear Solid: Extreme Mode. Any of the series, Extreme Mode provided a good challenge.

Socom: U.S. Navy Seals: This game was just a damper on my life. I believe the level you need to rescue an ambassador and his wife is the one that I could only beat once, couldn't do it on the 2nd (out of fucking 7) difficulties. Owned me.

Getting Big Boss rank on the First one with some friends around is a great and fun challenge. XD

Yeah can be pretty humiliating, but with some friends around you laugh, because some funny things can happen, besides you can divide tasks like boss battles & inflitration parts, so yeah, Good times =D.

when i was younger, it was Link's Awakening on gameboy. even though i had beat the game i was always missing one heart container for a perfect 100% game. about 7 years after the game came out i finally got tired and was just swimming to pass the time and found the heart container in the castle moat!

i hated Metal Gear Solid 2, only because it felt more like a "yak yak yak" fest and each time we took control of the character - another 90 minute convo ensued. Personally my favorite Extreme run was on Snake Eater, i even did euro extreme and man oh man was that a pain in the neck

A mission in Rollercoaster Tycoon 1 where you weren't allowed to edit the landscape. It was hard building rides and parks without cutting trees and such...

good times though :/

Ubersoldier - very hard, enemies throwing grenades all the time, one of the last missions where si crashing alied plane was brutal if you are using only MP40 and sturmgewehr44 (my favourite) but the boss was easy thank god at last

So far it's Silent Hill: Homecoming. The combat schematics are driving me insane not to mention the scarce health drinks and far spaced save points. Sucks! Love the atmosphere but the combat crap is too much.

Call me stupid but SimCity 2000! I could never get my city to prosper. I always ran out of money and all my people left! I also agree with Zelda II. That game was practially imposible to get anywhere.

Lately though Stardrop Sprint for the iPhone has been giving me one hell of a hard time. The last few levels move so fast and hardly give you any time to react!

Megaman, which seems very easy than others and difficulty even more. This game requires some skill and memorization, so you might feel some difficulty at the initial stages, but by doing practice you can feel it very easy. Remaining like Megaman2 and Megaman5 are the easiest series.

I would say Demons Souls but once you figured out the exploits the game was easy. Of course I didn't exploit the entire game, just the super hard bosses that were easy to break their A.I. The regular enemies were quite challengning but once you figured out their spawns and attack patterns they weren't that difficult. So, my vote is actually going towards any Guitar Hero or DDR game because I suck at rythym games.

Mega Block Man 2 (http://sandbox.yoyogames.com/games/93685-mega-block-man-2) is possibly, one of the hardest games I ever played. The game starts out easy, but at the final world, it becomes unfair. Really unfair. Not joking.

The Legend of Zelda Majora's Mask. The first time I played it I had absolutely no idea what to do or where to go and time was running out... fast. Then I got game over after I FINALLY found the first temple and then Clock Town was destroyed... I was like NOOOOO!!! It was VERY FRUSTRATING at first but now that I've played it a few times, it's definitely one of my top favorite video games ever!

I can name more than a few unfair games.

Castlevania 1 and 3
Ninja gaiden 1 and 3
FF Tactics advance.
Ghost an goblins
Teenage mutant ninja turtles nes game
Cheetahmen 2
Constructor
Resident evil umbrella chronicles

Some of these games are good, but due to the difficulty, could be better.Cheetahmen 2 is just unbeatable. It basically glitches after the final boss, and you are stuck in limbo forever, unable to see the ending. The hit detection sucks.

Umbrella chronicles puts me in a bad mood. Most bosses are no big deal, but there is one who attacks from the wall using tentacle attacks in round two, and in round 1, fires missiles.

Has to be Sonic Unleashed, it took me 3 years to get the platinum, originally when I first started I had no hopes of platinumming the game at all, I was scared at the thought of it after just beating it. I've got the platinum of the game twice on the same account now, and it's a real gem to have being a rarity. It's funny since the first time took me 3 years to platinum and the second time took me 3 days 21 hours (ended up getting 2nd fastest time in the world).

I love it when developers make a game moderate to play and hard to complete, it's a lot more fun, rewarding, longer-lasting, and it really feels like a game instead of a movie.
