Just wandering about Bleach. It looks interesting so I was wandering if it's english because I was thinking of buying it.
Also who else likes Bleach?

As far as I know Bleach hasn't been dubbed yet, but if I were you I'd just watch the original version with English subtitles. It's good. ;)

Another good series down the drain. :(

I'd hardly call it good anyway. From what I saw of it, it seemed rather derivative, like an ill-concealed mishmash of prominent concepts from other shows. Still, for people that like stuff like Naruto, Inu Yasha, DBZ, etc., it would probably be fine.

I think so too if it turns out anything like what Naruto turned out to be. :(

^Unfortunatly it will probably be just as bad because the english dub has been done by Studiopolis...the same people who did Naruto and Digimon. :( I will probably just buy the delux box set in the original language off ebay if the english turns out like crap just like naruto and digimon.

They're also showing Bleach on Adult Swim sometime in September this year.

And also, I like Bleach! They would be airing Bleach Episode 88 tomorrow in Japan.

Anyone who says that is either completely ignorant or just trying to look cool to the ignorant people around them. Dubbing has come a long way in the last few years. It's reached the point now where most dubs are at least near the level of their counterparts, and a few are actually better. It's only the cheaply made dubs on shows like DBZ, Naruto, Bleach, etc. that are *consistently* bad, and that's mostly because there's a rush to complete them for the sake of getting them on tv.

There is so much more crappy dubbing than that. You have animes like One Piece where i wanted to cry and they use water pistols not real pistols :/.. for example in naruto that will go on Cartoon Network there is no blood and when Zabusa die its not the same as in the orginale anime.

That's exactly my point. It's only in crummy shows like those that are supposed to draw a mainstream audience that the dubbing still suffers so horribly and brutal edits are made to the content. If you go past those and get into higher quality shows, the adaptation tends to be much better.

I have only read the manga, not seen the anim, and it's one of the better japanese comics i've read, recently. The development in story-line is better than expected, and of course, the action is of super quality. =)

I think it's just gonna be one of those animes that past the 24-26 episode mark and end up with the interesting of the anime to waste away. Ex: Inuyasha, Naruto and DBZ. Yet, people are just going to yell at me, please don't.

Well luckily most of us have other means to get anime if you don't like the dubbed versions. Most people in America probably didn't know about Naruto until Cartoon Network released it in English and now that it's introduced has become much more publicity. It's really helping the anime community by making it more accessable for those who don't have the means quite like us hardcore anime fans.

From what I can tell, that type of anime only expands the market for similar shows, which has no benefit at all for those of us who are more discerning. Americans who like Naruto are generally (in my experience) the same people who like Bleach, DBZ, and Inu Yasha, but haven't even heard of much outside those.

It's sad, that it's going to go to Adult Swim and still probably be edited or butchered. However that won't change the fact that the DVD will assuredly have the original Japanese dialogue available. I've greatly enjoyed the Japanese dialogue, because, in the first season at least, the language quality of the script was very good. The writer knew the dialects of the characters he introduced, and they were usually authentic in matching speech patterns to particular characters based on a gesthalt of their cultures and their personalities. And I'm not sure how well the writer's command of the Japanese language will translate into english dialogue. I don't think the translation is going to be good, because the company translating it is not making as big a deal of the anime as the fans are, in fact they aren't making a big deal about it at all. It does not look like they've given it much importance. They are probably going to reuse some of their better voice actors that they used in prior translations, but will probably give most of the cast newer, less experience actors. From the looks of it, if they do manage to do a good job, then it will be a merit of coincidence not effort. Unless they are keeping the intensity of their efforts secret from the outside world, they are not trying hard enough to do it justice, with the way things are looking.

yes it has...
viz media is dubbing it...it airs september 9 2006 on Adult Swim
as far as Voice Acting goes, Michelle Ruff makes an excellentRukia. Johnny Young Bosch, from what I heard can be good, I should say has the poential to be a great Ichigo. I think once he gets into the character, which is a dynamic change from Vash or Clair Leonelli, or even Kiba of Wolf's Rain.

As far as anime goes, Bleach did start out by being an actual fresh of air, but the soul society arc and the arcs thereafter ruined the series for me. That still doesnt mean I'll watch the dub to see which VAs are going to play which character. I'm intrigued by it personally

domineus, the dubbing was done by studiopolis. And I think Zachron meant that there wasn't an english dub available at the current moment.
And now there is everyone, it can be viewed on youtube. I'll get the links for all who are interested.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RDzmHD_MBuQ&mode=related&search= Part 2

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KLOMEQ-K2Fo&NR Part 3

Anyway the dubbing wasn't too bad, bad it wasn't great either compared to the japanese. But bareable to watch if you have seen the jap, and just fine if you havn't seen it. I'm glad they kept both the intro and ending theme songs the same.

Enjoy the episode.
