So I've heard a few renditions of this song. Sadly for me, I have no idea which one is the "real" one, seeing as I have never gotten that far in the game. Thus, trying to make a soundtrack with authentic songs is hard, as I don't know what the "actual" OWA is. What I'm asking for is a link to that one song, if it would not be a problem.

The original version is the version that comes from the "Final Fantasy VII Original Soundtrack". It's most notacable by the vocals. It's quality is much, much lower, and it repeats itself twice.

Umm, OK. I don't see how disliking a person and spelling their name right is connected. Care to explain?

It seems like a lot of you guys in here are engaging in "a bit of the ol' ultra-violence" in here; calm down! I've been 'lurking' for a time, and one thing I have noticed about many of these threads is that people get into silly fights about silly things that usually have nothing to do with the thread's original topic at all (notice how the direction of the conversation transgressed from "A One-Winged Angel" to AIDS). Although, on the topic of swearing, I would like to intervene with a slight correction: to swear does not give you AIDS. It does, however, frequently result in a rather serious - and chronic, might I add - case of athlete's foot. Beware: the man with the milk in the picture is not as jovial as he initially appears; he's a villain, I tell you!

And a bit off-topic, Stanley Kubric is one heck of a director...quite the show, that one. Uematsu to Kubric...one would normally consider a connection between the two a complete impossibility, and yet here it is...hm...

Anyway, Mahare, while there are many versions of the song available for download on the internet, there is one sure way to hear the original version: buy the soundtrack! It's not too expensive; it comes with a pleasant booklet, with its contents in Japanese, as well as all the other songs from the game (it's quite...cozy!). I personally prefer to buy CD's, though I know that many people lack the cash necessary to establish a collection of Final Fantasy Soundtracks. It's just one method, but in the end I think it is overall the most rewarding option. Not that mp3's are the scourge upon the world; I love 'em, everyone loves 'em. But hey, some musicians need to make some money, eh? EH?

Well you see not all of us have jobs and not all of us like to ask our parents for money which leaves us broke =.= ^^ thats why mp3s are our way of getting music :) And the musicians at Square Enix get paid on a normal salary =( so if you buy their cd they get extra money o.O too bad for other musicians coz it dont work that way for them :)

Get a job. They're easy to get :p

thats why mp3s are our way of getting music :)

Are you trying to say that you don't pay for any of your music?

And the musicians at Square Enix get paid on a normal salary =( so if you buy their cd they get extra money o.O

Yes, and they deserve the extra cash. It's incredibly hard to make a fresh, innovative tune and to, most importantly, avoid repetitiveness. Selling the CDs is a way to see how people take in the music and how much they judge the composer in the future.

too bad for other musicians coz it dont work that way for them :)

Where did you hear this?

Does anyone know what the singers mean (on Sephiroth's theme) when they say, "Veni Veni, venias/ Ne me mori facias/ Haryuu no/ hanekata"? I know the english version of the lyrics, but I want to know what it has to do with Sephiroth.
