lmfao... i have to say that there is absolutely no reason for them to remake the game... they already made a sequal-like movie. and they have Dirge of Cerberus and Before Crisis (i think thats the name). Remaking ffvii would be goin a bit far right now. Square would really be pushing their luck with that one.

A remake of FFVIII might be interesting, but unless it was a redo (ie. mending those plot holes, getting rid of Cait Sith, and removing all those gameshark codes that can get you to unfinished areas of the game, etc.) it really wouldn't be worth buying.

Even though I consider gameplay a far more important aspect to a video game than graphics, some games are just better off staying the way there are. Take FFIV for example. It's probably my favorite in the series. If it got remade with 3-D graphics, I'd buy it sure. But it just wouldn't have that same vibe to it, you know?

It would be fanboyism, except for the fact that it IS THE BEST FF. Fanboyism mostly entails liking a game too much when it is not merited. FFVI is the best.

Too bad the minigames were pointless. Raising chocobos only served to get you a summon that would only ever really be useful against the weapons, which gave pitiful rewards for the trouble it took to beat them.
