I think you mean Dirge of Cerberus, and the trailer shown at E3 was only a tech demo.

FFV & FFVI will release on the GBA shortly after FFIV is released on the GBA. The 3D FFIII will release later on the DS. And that's about it as far as FF remakes/updates go. As for a FFVII remake, the creators have said that if they were to remake it, it would take 4 years to produce at the standard shown in the E3 tech demo. Although they never totally ruled out the possibility of a remake, it most likely means there won't be any remake for FFVII.

Part of the fun of the old FFs are the bad graphics. It enhances the strenghts of the storyline, instead of relying on a shiny cover.
I'd like to see FFVI be remaked. Imagine Terra in those PS3 graphics!

Well, remakes are really cool and all, but Square can't spend all their time for this. It would slow down production of new ones. So, if they would really do plenty of remakes of FF for the ps2, what would happen? People would want remakes for the future generation of game consoles. And it would be a never-ending cycle.

Tell that to the people who wants FFVII remade but then wants FFXII(or KH2) to be released immediately.

Actually, if Square spent a two or three years on remakes, they might see what made the previous games so good. Not to say that FFX or FFX-2 were horrible, but they lacked the deep-seated involved storyline that was present in the older FFs.

FFVI deserves to be remade. I want an FFVII remake for personal reasons, but more then anything, FFVI deserves to have some more glory.
