Do us youngins (people 13 and under) have extrordinary games awaiting just around the corner, or has the "Decline of Videogaming" already commenced? A lot of new games seem to have some sort of chronic illness that makes them bad. Not saying that all new games are bad, but not all that many come up to the standards set by the PS1 and N64 games created. I'm kinda worried that my main passtime will be destroyed by games that bore the hell out of you. Your opinions?

Hope that don`t happen, it would be like an armagedon, or the end of the world
I'm sure a lot the games you find boring are probably much bigger hits with the 20+ crowd. Keep in mind that older people have more throw-away income, so we can buy more games, therefore it only makes good business sense to tailor games to an older age group.

I mean games that have replayability value, or don't rely on just one type of thing (hack-n-slash or just puzzels). Games are just detiorating in value. Or at least I think so.

sad, I have no other word to say it
There have always been crappy games. All of them won't be masterpieces. Just look harder for the really good ones.

If you're under 13, you haven't played - or SHOULDN'T have played - the majority of good games on the market.
Games development is always progressing, even if the change comes slowly.

Oh please. You know I wasn't saying that a game has to be mature-rated to be good.
I'm just saying it's judging the market from a limited, untried perspective.

Does age stop anyone? GTA, God of War, Doom3. My parents don't care.

What are you on? These games kick some serious ass.
But as for the better games in the market, most of them hover in the Teen to Mature area. (They need a rating for the middle of the two)
Someone needs to learn to recognize sarcasm.
they made a bible black game? omg! i want it!
well then again, i'm preoccupied with little my maid, lets meow meow, water closet, x-change 2, and a few others. :p one at a time for me. otherwise i get dehydrated. :D
on a serious note. i forsaw the decline of good games the minute they decided to bring back old games into new systems. the future is going to be based on backward comp. so that just goes to show you, "yes, future games will suck, so we'll make you stick around by letting you play your old favorites for years to come". revolution anyone?
ps. this is not a diss at nintendo. i love nintendo and will follow them to my death. just trying to make a point. (LONG LIVE N!)
now. i'm personally not sure which was the very first port ever. personally. tetris maybe. its in more consoles than you can shake a stick at. or pirates! revision after revision for the pc. who knows.
but i think what sealed the deal, was ff7. you know its bad when even square can't figure anything out and decide to remake their ultimate game. ...so sad. good thing i have my pokemon games to fall back on. i have them all! :D

Well, In the future you never know what ideas a new game developer will come out with, and considering that alot of people are becoming more qualified with degrees in computer game manufacturing/designing and programming, and the next generation consoles, HOPEFULLY games will become better..
Then again, you do get the occasional dumbass in the games industry who qualifies but can't make a very good game AT ALL.
Watch out for them..
you mean like microsoft and rare?
(nah j/k. i love me my aoe II and conquer)

do you remember a game of a serpent eating points. so it can get bigger and faster,?
wow. so that snake game which i thought was born on them nokias came from that super old british made computer? AWESOME! i have to admit. i think the OLD nokia snake game, is the greatest cell phone game ever made. snake 2 doesn't compare and just plain sucks. and every other cell phone game either runs too slowly or is just plain stupid.

Well, considering how long it's been in the making, and how many untrue release dates, there were, all I can say is, "I sure hope they will put on a darn good show, or they are having massive tecnichal problems".
