I am new here, and I have recently been trying to get better at drawing final fantasy characters, mainly ffx and ffx-2 ones. I am ok, but if anyone knows where I could find a website with tips and tecniques on drawing any of them, it would be very helpful if you told me =) Thanx

in all honesty, a website or a "how to draw" book of anything wont get you nearly as far as finding out how to do it yourself. i would just print out a couple pictures you like of some ff characters, and do a ton of practicing

copying pictures is pretty much useless if you don't understand how they were constructed. I suggest you learn a little about anatomy and and things like gravities effect on clothes and hair.
I completely disagree that learning from scratch is better than using a book or website, everyone has to start somewhere and you can save yourself alot of time an effort by following some guides and doing drawing exercises.
This is probably the best manga style how to on the web and the style isn't to far off Tetsuya Nomuras-

If you like you could post up some of your work on the forums, I'd be glad to give you some pointers as would many others here.
Yeah, learning how to actually draw people and clothing will help you be able to draw your favorite characters doing whatever it is you want them to do instead of just making bad copies of a pose someone else gave them.
I'm honestly not much for using tutorials on anything, but I'd be ridiculous to say that that was the best way to do things. I'm just a slacker. This is the best site I know of for that sort of thing though:

Thanx for the advice, I have been doing the facial features bit by bit, so far I have done a collection of pretty good eyes, I am pretty good at hair, the things I need to look at is really the facials and hands and feet, the clothes and hair are what I am best at, it's the actual figure I am having trouble with, thanx for the websites, I will check them out. :)

Sometimes trying to draw a copy a picture can be very hard.Try not to think about about drawing the picture but shapes that look like what your drawing. Then once you have all of that done, you use all those shapes as guidelines for the real thing. It made things a whole lot easier for me.

The thing that helps me when drawing is to remember that masterpieces are never painted in a minute. Take all the time in the world and erase as much as you need, but don't give up on a drawing unless every single detail of it is horribly misplaced.
And even then, you might be able to sell it as "Modern Art".
