Well, i've started college now, and i have two weeks to make a 100 page magazine! In...TWO WEEKS! OMG! So i need to fill up the pages with as many interviews as possible. I'd be delighted if you could each make a fairly detailed answer based on these questions:

1) What do you like about the Micro?
2) What don't you like about it?
3) Are you going to buy it?
4) Is the 69 quid price tag too much?
5) Oh yeah, and then can you insult Reggie Fils-Aim for fun?

Thanks Guys - you're brilliant!

Dear lord, you're in college? I thought you were twelve.

Journalism hint: if you want detailed answers, don't ask a heap of questions that can be answered in one sentence. Unless of course you ask 25 questions, and combine the answers so it looks like you've asked 5 questions - but I digress.

1)

I like the Micro because it's the first step towards Nintendo's Apple-isation. They're advertising their ware as gadgets - removing themselves from the 'hardcore' gaming market, and this can only be a good thing.

If Nintendo is no longer seen as a competitor to Sony and Microsoft, but rather something that can compliment their wares, all the better. The Micro is cool because it's sleek and sexy - it's the iPod nano of the gaming world.

2)

It's design really prevents good gameplay. To me, the screens on my Nintendo DS, let alone my GBA SP, look tiny after playing on my PSP's beautiful 4.3" LCD. While the Micro's screen is just as pretty apparently, it doesn't make up for the fact that it's smaller than the screen on my cell-phone.

I can't imagine playing Final Fantasy IV (which will probably be the next GBA game I buy - and unless they're planning to release V and VI, the last) on such a tiny, tiny screen. I'll be playing it on my DS, which its clear and larger screen.

3)

Undecided. I'm definately not going to get one at launch - mainly for reasons detailed in question 4 below. But maybe when it comes down in price a bit. Just to have one, because i'm a gadget-holic.

4)

Yes. It is far too expensive for a machine that can only play games that are outdated. The Game Boy Advance system is past its prime in today's world of PlayStation2-powered handhelds. I'm not denying there are heaps of good games available that people will want to play - but they should not have charged more than the GBA SP.

5)

Reggie Fils-Aime is a breath of fresh air - I love reading his interviews. His eternal optimism, combined with his grip on the industry, is probably leading them in the current direction they're going. He's an excellent show-man, matched only by Miyamoto-san himself.

Yes. Don't act simple questions that a kid would ask. A good question to ask would be something like 'What do you think the Game Boy Micro, with its simplistic design and high price tag, will do to current/non Nintendo fans who are a little skeptical about buying the handheld".

1) If you don't own the GBA SP, then you will surely love the Micro. Since the majority of people who own a Nintendo handheld tend to be the younger audience, Micro would benefit them greatly. It is very small and compact, the screen has brighter colors and better resolution than the SP, and there are only two buttons to worry about. The screen may be even a little better than the DS. But if you are like me, who own both a SP and a DS, there's no need to rush to the store the day this hits the shelves. But it would be nice to pick it up eventually just to see how it feels in your hands.

2) Since I have really big hands, the first thing I don't like about it is the small size. It might be a little difficult for me to find a comfortable position in my hands to play with. Also, while the screen is beautiful, I'm a little optimistic as to how I will enjoy playing games on it. Nowadays, I play all my Game Boy games on my DS; much better screen. I want the Micro to give me some reason to play games on it, rather than the DS.

3) Yeah, I'll buy it eventually. If I didn't own the NES Retro SP, but had a red or blue one, I'd surely trade it in to help bring down the total cost of the Micro. But alas, I just don't see the immediate need to have two handhelds that do the same thing; only one does it prettier. But if I didn't own an SP, I'd get it the day it comes out.

4) Yes, $99 is too much for this handheld. When SP was released, it was such an improvement over the Advance. Smaller, prettier, fold-down top to protect the screen. You could slip it into your pocket and take it to school, work, etc. And I think it debuted at $99 as well, if I'm not mistaken. But the Mico doesn't bring enough new elements to the table to merit such a high price tag. It's just a smaller, better version of the SP; nothing more. $79.99 would have been an appropriate price for the Micro.

5) I would never insult Reggie Fils-Aime, even if it was in good fun. I love the man. He brings a new attitude to Nintendo that I haven't seen in a long time, and it's exciting. He's bold, intelligent, and a great speaker. Let's not forget that he can kick your ass too.

The thought of you working on a magazine is enough to scare most editors to death, Ricky.

PS: No, I won't answer your questions, because I think the GBM is as asinine as you are an ass.

Let me review my previous answer.

Gameboy Micro my ass. The SP with a backlit LCD screen of DS/Micro quality?

For US$20 cheaper?

I'm definately trading in my current SP to pick up one of these babies.

1. It has a bright screen and it's compact and sleek

2. Small screen

3. Not anytime soon. I have a SP and DS, but I'll probally buy one just to say I own it.

4.At the moment, yes! I don't have a job right now, so if I get my hands on that much money, I'd rather buy a game.

5. I'm no Reggie-basher. Fight Regginator, for everlasting... something...

Yeah, the gameboy micro is pretty unnecessary... but I guess Nintendo is going for people that never play/keep up with handhelds buying it because it looks cool? Or something? And to them the tininess is worth the extra price? I dunno how it's all going to work out. Probably much better than it should though

1) It looks sleak and compact. Also, it`s obviously going to give you access to a whole host of pretty neat games.

2) It`s possible too small. It looks like it`ll feel way to insignificant in your hands when your actualy playing it.

3) Nope. Not a chance

4) Not really but i still wouldn`t buy it.

5) He`s a dry muffy cunt is what he is. And you can quote me on that.

I disagree with you there. I have both a PSP and a DS and regard them both pretty equally. It's undeniable that the PSP is prettier and more powerful, but the DS has more versatility due to its multiple input sources and can handle games that the PSP would never run effectively. Also, the DS has some truly spectacular and innovative games that help set it apart, while the PSP still doesn't have any really great ones yet.
