I really don't understand why everybody says the Weapons are hard to beat. You can even kill em if you aren't level 99, and you dont need Knights of the Round or 4x slash or Omnislash. You dont need Wall, Phoenix + Final Attack. In other words you dont need that super mumbo jumbo. You only need Cait Siths Limit Break called Slots (Lv2 if im correct). Get the 3 parts of Cait Siths face and you ll do a special attack that is called "Game Over". It kills anything in an instant. Doesnt matter if its a Boss. Emerald goes down easy... Ruby is a bit harder... you have to make sure Cait Sith is the one who is still standing (not excluded from battle) and that Ruby 's tentacles are in the ground (appearing right behind you). Then "Game Over" works.

Its a cheap way i know but hey... its fast... who said you need to be tough... if you arent strong you should be smart.

You get it at the Arena. First earn the Omnislash and the W-Summon materia. Use the Omnislash on Cloud and then you'll be ask to participate in the Advanced Battle. Win it (Defeat 8 tough enemies) and you'll get the Final Attack materia.

Leave us STRONG people to beat him upfront. Its a good move and an easy way to win but wheres the fun of getting your ass handed to you a load of times before you beat him!?!Id rather a challenge.

To get strong you must invest lots of time in training. Time i would rather invest in the real world. You guys are probably hardcore or something. You see i try to maximise the fun without wasting too much time.

Just cast KOTR on Ruby when his tentacles are in the ground and continue Miming it until he dies.

Thats and ok way of doing it Mr Badguy.

Although the chances of getting Game Over are pretty tough.

Bascially, cast reflect on party against Ruby, as well as wall. Then just summon KOTR and mime as mentioned. You do need good stats and 6000+ HP for this though.

All you have to do for Ruby is start the battle with 2 characters dead. Once he buries his claws, just revive them, and you have a full party.

Incidently, I used the weapons as a chance to level up my materia, since I was going for three sets of master materia.

I think this was discussed before....Ah well.Go in with one dead.Use pheonix on the arms.Cast Hades.Cast W-summon KOTR and mime.Easy.

this is how i killed the Emerald Weapon, i killed off 2 of my characters, put the Underwater Materia on one of them, then i equipped Cloud with this Materia combo HP Absorb-Knights Of The Round, Mime-W Summon. I also gave Clound the Sprint Shoes so he has Haste at the start of the battle. For this to work, you need to have atleast over 4000Hp has Emerald's Air Tam attack hits you for a thousand HP per Materia you are equiped with. Each time you hit Emerald you will absorb atleast 7000Hp from him, so you just keep Miming KOTR until he's dead and then you'll get the fabled Earth Harp.

Similar techniqe for Ruby, but I found Ruby to be extremly difficult. I found it is best to of taken the Emerald Weapon out first so you have all the Master Materia. Have 2 characters dead, equip you main character with the Ribbon as it makes you immune to all status effects. Equip you character with this Materia Combo, Quadra Magic-Master Summon, W-Summon-Mime, HP Absorb-Bahamut ZERO, Final Attack - Life, then Master Magic by itself.
Final Attack and Life MUST be mastered, even with you HP quite high you still stand the chance of being killed by Ruby. Use Haste, at the start of the battle to speed yourself up.
Please note, Physical Attacks do little to no damage to Ruby's torso and it is truly advised that you do not use Knights Of The Round as Ruby will counter with Ultima.

Using KotR on Ruby just makes him use Ultima back on you straight away...

I've not tried ALL LUCKY SEVENSing him, does that do enough damage to kill him?

Hades parylyzes him so he cant counter with ultima.

i wouldnt risk trying it as lucky sevens is quite difficult to do, and i wouldnt of thought it would work has he has an extremly high defense to physical

Yeah but you can engineer 7777 HP if you're lucky and have materia to modify your HP total with.

Unless the enemy is totally immune to physical attacks, it *WILL* do 7777 damage regardless.

I did try it with Emerald WEAPON, but the effects didn't last long enough to kill him. I felt swindled.

thats why its better to use my technique as ruby will more than likely kill you before you can kill him with all 7s

Proud Clod is tricky 120,000 depends on what kinda slots you pull, he could be hard.

I have problems finding good ways to heal, cause if you heal it takes up a turn then the weapons just use like 1 or 2 death moves on you and your back to like 1000 HP again and you gotta re-heal, so once the healing begins the attacking stops, i guess you gotta use alot of hades eh?

if you read my tactics on killing the weapons, you have a summon materia linked with HP Absorb, with this combo you dont have to waste a single turn on healing yourself

However Summon materia have limited useage

it has limited useage if you are going into your Summon menu on your characters attack menu. If you W-Summon with enough MP, you cast the Summon twice, then you use Mime and your Summon useage will not run out as you are just mimicking your last attack instead of using MP up

You know you can beat Ruby with Cloud in a One on One match? Why ressurect the others when you dont have to? Just equip Cloud with the Mystile armor and he will dodge Ultima every single time. So go ahead and equip Final attack-revive and let Ruby weapon feel the wrath of the Knights and Omnislash.

Lucky Sevens Can Work On Emerald if You Have All 3 Characters With It... You Dont Kill Him First Attempt... Usually 2nd or 3rd... You Need To Have Quick Characters though... He Has 1,000,000 Hp So You Want Him Really pummeled Before He Starts to Attack You

Another nice trick Is to Use Dazers On Ruby... They Paralyze him And hes Weak To Paralasis Then You Can Hit him With Anything And he Wont Do Shit

Another Nice Trick For Any Boss Is to Cast regen And Assuming Your playing On The PSX You Can Open The Lid on Your Console And The Game Freezes but the regen Continues Close Lid Resume Game ETC... Sometimes this Can Screw up Though So Dont take My Word on It...
