A WILD SNORLAX APPEARS

So apparently it's coming to adult swim.
I've never seen it, but I've been wanting to. Quite excited here.
prepare to be dissapointed?
Yeah, really. I saw a few episodes of that and had no desire to see any more. This was quite a few years ago though, so maybe I could give it another chance, but I find it dubious I'd like it.
Weird, since FLCL was so mind-blowingly good.
Yes, that anime did use to appear on Cartoon Network once when Toonami was showing a special programing of "Robot Week" (if some of you remembered a few years ago), showing all kinds of animated shows about robots, mostly anime, nontheless. Plus it was the first time (if some of you remember this) that much of the U.S. got to see a sneak peak of Megas XLR in "the plot espiode".

The creators of Megas XLR should be burned at the stake.
Also, Neon Genesis Evangelion is an incredibly slow going drama. So if you haven't got the patience to watch the entire series, and a very good memory, you probably won't like it.
That said, the scenes where Unit 01 goes berserk are actually quite good.

Not to spoil too much, but it starts getting really depressing after episode 12 or so, I think.
Yep, it does do that. If you ask me, that's when the show becomes good. Before that, it's fairly mediocre. Also, I advise skipping the last two episodes entirely because they make absolutely no sense. Just regard episode 24 as the end of the series or go straight into the movies from there.

I'd agree with Prak...It is mind blowing series that starts like power rangers and ends like hell on earth. I loved it. I have the whole series and film on dvd. I'd recommend it to anyone with sense.
It started pretty mediocre and ended that way, not to say that they didn't try. =\
Prak is right about the last two episodes though. I know someone that thinks the ending is great and wouldn't have it any other way. And that person... is madness person.
I'd recommend it to anyone with sense.
I DON'T LIKE WHAT YOU'RE IMPLYING.

If you even care to, go deeper into the series and you'll find an ambiguously (can't spell) hidden message/story. Anno is basicaly not right in his head. Buying the platinum series and both movies was worth it for me. By the way, does everybody know that the people responsable for the CG and stuff in LotR is working on the Live action movie to NGE?
You spelled ambiguously correctly.
Anyway, you're absolutely right about Anno. It's pretty common knowledge that he was dealing with severe depression during the making of that show.
As for Weta's involvement with the movie, I recall smiling a bit when I heard about it the day the announcement was made. I still think the movie is likely to suck though.
well when i had satalite Tv the adult swim did not include it... but i had seen some of it thanks to the SBS free to air channel in australia.
I do like what i had seen, Kaji is very cute
i would like to purchased the dvd series and movie

I will wait with fainted breath to see what Adult Swim does to it. I one hand they may not edit it THAT much, I have seen much worst on Family Guy and Futurerama...but on the other hand I have seen some slight butchering of Paranoid Agent and FLCL...so we shall see.....Eva is by far one of the most well written stories ever....

FLCL was released early in AS's history, editing was more strict then.
paranoia agent isn't exactly the type of show they typically air. i hear it's relatively untouched though.
