How do you feel about the sphere grid in Final Fantasy X? I got used to it after a while, but I still think it would have been better if you didn't have to worry about it over the course of the game. What do you think about the sphere grid?

I totally loved it. Without it, Final Fantasy X would not be Final Fantasy X. I also liked the way where you could max out your stats in a non boring way of capuring and fighting monsters.

Yeah but its good how square keep changing the way you can play each FF, keeps the game more exciting...like the materia FF7, 100 of each magic boosts stats FF8, slots you can add crystals to FF9.....and of course the sphere grid ^^
It keeps the games more exciting than sticking to the same routine all the time, plus each game gets to stamp their mark on it :S

It was a very creative idea. But if you were like me (yes, I have no life) and finished everyone's sphere grid (except Kmahri and Lulu) it's kind of pointless in the end because everyone is the same and special in everything, so no one is really unique.

I liked it, made your characters a lot more customizable, so I was able to control exactly where I wanted their strengths. It was a lot better than letting the game control your characters more... its like, i dont know, i knew their weakness and strengths better.. so when it came to battle, it was easier to know who should be upfront first

But fighting the same monsters over and over again in the Battle Arena got extremely tedious.
