Hearing the Theme of Sonic The Hedgehog, the first stage, my first game ever
Watching my uncle play Chrono Cross, and seeing him get into random battles. Then I played the game after he finished it.
And kicking my cousin's butt in Gran Turismo. It was fun.

Hey, rinoa_heartilly, I meant old games, not games from several generations after. Like from the late 80s and early 90's.

I was blown away by all the music from the Streets of Rage series! Me an' my friend finally beat Golden Axe for the second and final time and it feels damn good too! Yeah, music is always important in videogames, it tells what the attitude of the game is!

Waking up early and beating Turtles in Time before school, and then going to school and saying "I beat turtles in time this morning before school today".
The game takes maybe an hour to beat if you know what you're doing, so it was no big achievement, but when I was that little, beating any game made me feel pretty impressive.

Mega Man 2 and 3 for NES.
Greatest games ever.
Hey, rinoa_heartilly, I meant old games, not games from several generations after. Like from the late 80s and early 90's.
She was born in 1991. For her, Chrono Cross is an old game. People are growing up with different games than we did now, I don't see why they can't be added to the old game list.

Here is an old game, Roland on the Ropes. My first game. It could never be beaten, you just had to go for a high score.

I still have my Amstrad cpc and it still works. Ah the memories of loading games from cassette tapes... This was 1984.
We didn't get into console gaming here in Britain until the 16 bit Megadrive and Snes days. Infact Sonic the hedgehog was my first experience of Console gaming and ive not looked back since.

Beating Section Z on the old NES. Cos insanely hard game back then.
Also, starting up FFVII way back when it first came out, cos that was when I moved from an NES to a Playstation. A huge jump, I know.
My very first fond memory would be crushing the cartridge for QBert on the Atari
its a fond memory because i was so happy to destroy a game that a 7 year old boy would never understand....
and none of our amstrad(sp?) games loaded from the cassette tapes except from a stupid
demo of moving colors like those crappy windows screensavers....
My real first fond memory would be Wonder Boy III for the master system a classic in my humble opinion!
Side scrolling action actually included a shield that would block arrows, potions that replenished life hearts, expandable life bars, armour and weaponary it was a game that that offered more than jumping and highscores
so yeah thats my first favorite game closely followed by squaresofts seiken series

Venture for the Colecovision. One of the first games I ever played and I could never quite beat it until years later. Still have the cartridge around and fire that baby up every now and then. That giant green head used to really freak me out when I was little.

The ending to FFVI. I was about 12, and I beat it during summer vacation. However, I had to fight the final bosses three or four times, because my mom would come pick me up in the midst of the ending. Also, beating Captain Skyhawk for the NES-it was the first game I ever beat. Oooh, and one more-the B A B A Up Down Left Right B A Start code for TMNT2 on the NES. Does anybody remember the TurboTouch360 controllers? The ones that had a touchpad for the d-pad? I had one of those-it was the stuff!

Beating Section Z on the old NES. Cos insanely hard game back then.
I don't think it'd be too easy if you tried it now.
But yeah, I loved that game.
And I hated repeatedly taking the wrong tunnels and going back to levels I already visited =\

Definately Rocket Knight Adventures, the most under rated and perhaps best platform game of the genesis super nintendo days. How I'd love to just charge a rocket pack and fly into something, sword first.
