What actually happend in ff6 i bought it just before ff10 came out and got bored with it because of the graphics. Im not having a go at them they were probably good at the time of release.
You can basically chat about the story line.
Go nuts. =)
Oh and from what I heard Shadow can actually die in the gtame

So... you want us to ignore this thread, or ignore your double post?
If you want to know the storyline, the quickest way would probably be to just search for Final Fantasy VI online (Caves of Narshe, e.g.). There are summaries all over the place.
And incidentally, the graphics are still good. ;)

In order of best overall game:
FFVI
FFVIII
FFVII
FFIX
FFV
FFIV
FFI
FFII
(spin offs and so on would take too long and i'm not even gonna include X)

FFVI definitely has the best storyline, and the best cast of heroes. It's the last medieval type FF, unless you count FFIX. One thing that's really great is that nearly all of the heroes have some sort of tragic past (that we know about), except Mog, Umaro, and Gogo. It makes them a lot deeper and more complex.
Unless you count FFIX? What kind of silly thing is that to say? Why wouldn't you count FFIX? =/

The only FFs that are really worth playing are FF1, 2, 6, and 9. The rest can die and go to hell for all I care.
Also FF5 was the last Medieval type. FF6 is set 1000 years in the future. :/
And yes, Shadow died the first time I played. So did Mog. :(

Well... there's a part of the game where you can let Mog fall to his doom... I think he still becomes available as a playable character in the WoR though, even if you do.

Here's my list of fave FFs:
FF9, FF7, FF6, FF8, FF1, FF5, FF4, FF3 and that SOB FF2. 9,7, and 6 tend to juggle around, but 2 will always remain unplayed.
No one asked for your favorites. Or cared.

Well about Shadow, you have a choice to save him/her or not (I forgot what gender s/he is again, since its been years since I played the game).
As for the game itself, its a great game and you should play it. Just because the graphics are dated, that isn't a reason to ignore it. The storyline is great and you should play it to find out about it rather than spoiling it. FFVI had a better storyline than FFX (but FFX had better characterisation and a better ending).
