Good lord, ... ...
Final fantasy 6 (for the PSX (PS1)), about 2 hours into it, first time playing it.. with the intent of finishing it.
I'm at the Sabin vs. Vargas part right now, doing fine.. untill i get to the point where i have to learn how to blitz....
I really freaking need help.. I've run from the save point to this fight 6..6!.. SIX!! f****in' times! I'm not a bad gammer.. infact most of my friends say i catch onto games a little too fast.. ('cause i always beat'em :D) BUT.. this blitz thing.. on the PSX FF6 is driving me nuts.
Anyone have a demo on how to execute these blitzs correctly.. or.. a second by second account on how to do them on the PSX.. is the game "borked"? WTF?
Please... please.. oh dear lord.. please help an extreamly frustrated gammer out.
Thanks

Lol this reminds me wayyy too much of my first playthrough, the command if i am correct is left, right, left? that should execute the blitz pummel, the trick is don't rush it or slow it down, try and get timing right heres step by step:
1.Choose Blitz
2.Press the buttons Left,Right Left, say it in your head and try and keep in time with that.
3.Press accept on whatever console your playing on.(X in your case)
another little tip i found out is you don't have to go through that mini-cutscene after vargas does mortal fist, do blitz then, nstead of beating him down all over again.
hope that helps, trust me don't give up on it i ended up leaving at that part for about 2 months, blitz'z help loads during the game so practice untill you can fluently (sp?) execute any blitz of the top off your head.

Yeahn it took me a lot of time to understand that part too, in fact, it took months, but later i finished almost the whole game.

You gotta get out the Street Fighter Skills for the blitz moves, its pretty easy there are some tricks to it.
FF6 takes forever to beat, my clock got maxed out and im still not done.

I did that with 7
6 takes 40-50 hours tops, but I leveled up like a deranged person and added 5 hours to my clock. I'm replaying it now and am going for a speed run.

Y'know every time I've played through FFVI it's always taken around 20 hours to beat, that seems to be the average for what most of my friends have put into it as well.
So what are you doing that's maxing out the clock, trying to get everyone to lv 99?

Ya man, it takes so much time, I just use the T-Rex forest, and i played that game so much when i was like 12 years old just kept messin around in the Colleseum, and sometimes me and my friend would just play for fun, walk around and fight random battles.

Aw, the first part of the game that can really bite your ass constantly, but do not give up. I tried leveling up for dear life, but Sabin REALLY screwed huge. As the very least, Square coulda told us how to advance by making a popup during that battle or something. Kinda ironic that something that can piss you off would end up making you love Sabin for the remainder of the game.
