Terra Wars is the latest game by Hironobu Sakaguchi, creator of Final Fantasy, and the legendary Nobuo Uematsu.
After being announced in 2017, it was delayed after Terra Battle 2's dramatic issues and ultimate cancellation.
On July 1, Terra Wars was released in Japan only and so far it doesn't seem like there are any plans to release it worldwide.
Terra Wars is a spin-off of the Terra Battle series - a more tactics-oriented game with a stop-motion clay model art style. Like the games before it, it is mobile-only.
This style seems to have inspired Mistwalker's next game, Fantasian (https://youtu.be/67umVefSXnY), as well. That game will be exclusive to Apple devices through Apple Arca-... oh come on, return to console games already! If you won't let me play the games by never releasing them in my country (TB1), cancelling them early (TB2), not releasing them in English (TW) or keeping them exclusive to Apple devices (Fantasian), then I'll just stop caring about those games.
However, I won't stop caring about the soundtracks. Even though this one isn't Nobuo Uematsu's best, I'm still glad I get to share it here with you all.
Anyway, since Mistwalker is planning to continue the Terra Battle 2 story in this game, this soundtrack includes most of the TB2 soundtrack (and even a few extra songs that I still need to add to the actual Terra Battle 2 gamerip (Thread 219725)). So while there is already a gamerip of TB2, I decided to include the Terra Wars version of these tracks as well, because unlike the previous gamerip, these tracks are not looped and have their original track "endings" intact!
