Howdy folks!
So, since i haven't posted anything in forever, i thought i'd make up for lost times, and finally(hopefully), put an end to this since the links appear dead, and nobody would help.
So for this post, i thought i'd post my edition of one of what i consider to be one of Elmer Bernstein's best scores:
"The Black Cauldron"
however, to do this "edit", i definitely needed to do some research and homework on the previous edits that there were. The research came down to these albums:
the original soundtrack
the recording sessions
the 2012 re-release
(the 30-something track bootleg, however, was a downfall and have failed to find any valid link or post to it)
So, with the homework, i have finally been able to whip something together...
So, what does it have on it?
it contains EVERY single cue from the 2012 edition. But it has been modified a little, and has changes to it.
What are the changes?
The 2012 release has 32(?) tracks, as to where THIS release has 46.
If you're wondering why the number "46" seems familiar, it is because that's how many tracks are on the recording sessions
This is a re-edit of the recording sessions, but with the 2012 edition material. The REAL sessions are actually loud, and can "possibly" hurt the eardrums of a user.
How can i tell the differences on how they're mixed with other material?
* - 2012 material unedited and not tampered with
^ - 2012 material mixed and/or edited to match with the sessions(I would hope to the best of its abilities)
" - 2012 material mixed with the original soundtrack
unfortunately, this is an mp3 edit, because there were no FLAC copies of what i have, however, i do have a converter, so there's still hope! :)
