This may be a bit difficult for some of you to understand, but it's really quite interesting.
If any of you know about hexadecimals, then you prolly know about the 0-F range. If you don't, well, just bare with me ;). The 0-F range signifies a number. When two of these ranges are paired together, you get a 00-FF range. 00 is equal to zero, and FF is equal to 255; which is why they decided to choose 255 for the stat limit. 255, in hexadecimal sense, equals FF, or Final Fantasy =)
Interesting note ;)

Sorry, but actually it might not be something so hard to understand, because really it comes up all the time. Nothing new to most of us, probably.

I think I get it. Is it like, when two of these ranges are paired together as 00-FF range, 00 is always equal to zero and the FF is always equal to 255. Square saw this hexadecimal thing and decided to use 255 for stats...? Because FF = Final Fantasy.
I don't know...

But my point is that we're not typical. Actually, my point is that this something that has been posted several times here before, so it's not really something that's new to a lot of us.
