Fantastic post, rep added. While generally I consider 2496 Studio Master quality unnecessarily large, the problem is that when people downconvert it to 1644 they do a poor job (low quality resampling algorithms, clipping caused by resampling because some of the music peaks at 0 Dbfs, bad or non-existant dithering, etc). Thus I prefer to do my own downconversions.

Can you make a version with mp3? DBPowerAmp does not retain tag information when converting from FLAC to MP3 and I see no MP3 version in the search. Only this version
