I just wanted to say that it seems many people are complaining about these so-called FFVII spin-offs (FFVII:AC,BC,DC,CC). And the people that seem to be complaining are the very FFVII fans that have been crying out for some sort of addition to FFVII.

Personaly i think people are put off by the word spin-off. When i think off a FFVII spin-off i think of Ehrgiez or Chocobo racing but the new titles at least look like they have thought put into them.

I just wanted to realy know, how many people actualy want these games?.
I for one welcome all the games, although i will only be buying AC and DC.
Also, do you see them as mere money making spin-offs or welcome additions to the franchise??

Well we cant really make that decision yet, because until we have the games ihn our hands, we wont know if they're garbage, or not. I agree with you though, everyone cries out for this kind of stuff, and now that they are here, everyone complains.

Who fucking cares if square is milking the FF7 name for all its got if they are good games? And since we dont know if they are good or not yet, stfu and save your complaining till you've tried em.

Wether it being out or not, i want to vote for both. Worthy Addition (for the ff7 addicts) AND also sucking up our $$.

I personaly think DC will be the best out of the lot, including AC.

But you can see the potential they have. Plus you don`t buy a game blindly, you make up a decision based on what you see and read.

Yup it`s bout Lucrecia.

But my point is every game in the game compilation are not cheap spin offs,i think.Cheap spin offs are....Ehrgiez or Chocobo racing,shameless tie-ins.
I`m not saying the compilation games are gonna be amazing but they have the potential to be.

I don't think any spin offs are cheap. It takes time, preparations, efforts, lots $$$$, and their butts into making it and exporting it to us. Wether if it's potentially worthy or not depend on the individual him/her self. Like for some who are disgusted with FF7 and there are some who are obsessed with FF7.

Yep,I think Dirge and Advent children most especially are worhty additions to the series.Theyll rock when their out ,I can bet on that.

We`ve yet to see CC so i`ll still have to think about it. Although, even if it`s god baby i still won`t buy it.

If you think Square are money-grabbers, dont buy the fucking things.Its impossible to tell without having played the game though.

One thing that made FFVII stand out, and one thing alone (with a few side things):

SEPHIROTH

If these games don't have Sephiroth, I don't see them making an impact like the original did. People will buy AC because it has (or has the potential of having) Sephiroth.

Do they? I'm ignorant on the subject, but they don't seem to have him. They made be good, but Sephiroth made FFVII great.

Everyones saying they're excited about AC because all the gangs back but if you watch all the trailers - you kinda get the impression they just appear for a single battle scene. (With exception to Cloud, Tifa, and Vincent - Oh and Marlene)

well im welcoming AC and dirge with open arms because i love films and vincent:D...but i guess il have to wait and see about the others...but i also think that square have taken it to far with the series and are money seeking and they will do just that
