EDIT: Is there any way for anyone to check if this is legit lossless? How do we know it isn’t just MP3 converted up to FLAC? I only ask bc I have only seen it available for sale online lossy, so far.

Could be a Tidal rip
24bit MQA
24bit MQA
The filename in the description confirms this, so yeah, not real lossless.
As for the missing tracks. I get a feeling those are just end credit rips in 2 cases. No clue what ‘Be With Me’ is about.
he gets the link from Bart Oss
Do you have the 3 missing tracks ?
(04 End Credits,07 Jenny Oldstones, 25 The Lannisters pay their Debt)
The Last War is the scene where Dany attacks the Iron Fleet and the Wall. The last part of the cue is where The Bells ring as Tyrion walks though the broken wall.
As for the missing tracks. I get a feeling those are just end credit rips in 2 cases. No clue what ‘Be With Me’ is about.
No, they’re both in the correct spots. My 3 extra tracks are rips, yes. “Be With Me” is Jamie and Brienne.
The Last War is the scene where Dany attacks the Iron Fleet and the Wall. The last part of the cue is where The Bells ring as Tyrion walks though the broken wall.
I thought so too, but the bells scene doesnt sound like the track exactly.
And the second part of the music tracks fits perfectly with Dany going on a burning spree after the bells have already sounded.
But like a few others tracks, it seems to be made from multiple tracks pasted together.(Making some kinda annoying to place them chronologically like ‘For Cersei’)
Also The Long Night pt1. definitely goes before Battle for the Skies.
That one is definitely unused, I would have remembered it. No vocal arrangements of any themes appear in the season. That’s why I’ve labeled Not Today and Stay A Thousand Years as unused. As well as that arrangement of The Rains of Castamere which for the record, is awful.
Also The Long Night pt1. definitely goes before Battle for the Skies.
Oh it does?
All of that happens before the dragons fight each other.
All of that happens before the dragons fight each other.
And to think I had it down pat. I even watched 803 twice (as I’m sure many people did). Thanks.
I also renamed “The Battle of Winterfell” to “Āeksiō Ōos”. It’s better fitting imo.
The Lannisters Pay Their Debts is my rip of the end credits from "The Bells", which is actually the ending of For Cersei. So it’s redundant and I no longer need it. I made several end credit rips over the weeks before the OST was released. Jenny of Oldstones if you look at my tracklist, is ripped directly from 802 when Pod (Daniel Portman) sings it. I might actually use Djawadi’s instrumental version (now that we have it) and overlay the vocal version on top of it.
Petition to get the custom covers thread re-opened (not my cover, I didn’t make it). Dan Mumford designed it exclusively for Empire Magazine, it’s the only one he made.
Be With Me would be just before The Iron Throne
And I think The Last War covers Dany’s attack on the Iron Fleet and the scenes up to the surrender and Jon and the Unsullied end up in front of the Lannisters. Then The Bells comes and cover the moment Dany snaps. So they should just be switched
Ah ok, so that’s 806 then. Thanks.

You’re correct about The Last War but The Bells is Arya, Sandor and Jamie all making their way to The Red Keep – which is before Dany arrives on Drogon and takes out the Iron Fleet. So it’s The Bells and then The Last War.
I believe the first part of Not Today is the end credits of TLN
Nope. It’s a variation of The Night King, yes – but not the end credits. I can rip them later tonight. I didn’t go crazy ripping the credits of all 6 episodes cause I figured a some of them would make their way to the OST – and so far only the credits for The Bells is on the OST.
And from 806
Ah ok. Which cue? Haven’t gotten the OST down 100% yet.

Thanks Melalo for the Mega link (FLAC) and thanks to the OP. Leaving both of you a rep.
Also I am still quite sure the 2nd half of ‘Bells’ plays when Danaerys is burning Kings Landing

Oh yeah I wanted this too ^^ that and the end of Ep2 when the Walkers arrive in front of Winterfell. Oh well.. he gave us almost all already ^^ (and I was a tiny bit hopeful we’d get the Against All Odds reprise too)
That moment with the white walkers is the opening of The Long Night, Pt. 2
Because thats the track I havent been able to place all music from yet.
– 0:00-2:00: Is a mix of battle music from atop the wall of Winterfell. Where Brienne saves Jaimie. But it’s a bit of mixed bag.
– 2:00-2:42: Arya’s Fight
– 2:42-end: Where Beric tells Sandor ‘Tell Her That!’ / Lyanna’s death
07, is a single track by "Florence + The Machine – Jenny Oldstones"
25, is a reprise of the end part of "for Cersei"
Ah no wasn’t talking about this arrival. The one at the end of Ep2, Jon has just told Dany, the horn blows, they go outside and we end with a shot of Tyrion on the battlements and then the White Walkers arrive within sight of Winterfell. Also noticed today another omission – Beric’s death scene
Also the white walker arrival is basically just rearranged music we already had anyway.
But, we’ll love. It’s a great albun
Also the white walker arrival is basically just rearranged music we already had anyway.
Yeah I know I know but it just gave me goosebumps when I saw the scene. But I agree the album is superb. Contains 99% of what I wanted and it’s the first Thrones album I added in its entirety on my iPod !
Preach
Ah ok. Which cue? Haven’t gotten the OST down 100% yet.
There’s no official info on this. The Night King theme could be the theme heard in Hardhome from Season 5, or the theme heard in The Army of the Dead from S7 but I’ve seen the theme from S7 being called "White Walker Power". The cue "the night king" has 2 themes + the GOT theme. I’ve just called them "the Battle of Winterfell" and "the battle is lost". The first being used in a lot of the battle cues and the second being used in "Not Today" and "Farewell".
I saw him perform it at the concert in LA so I like getting an official release, but yeah, complete collection Ramin!!!!!
They’re mine, and not all accurate as is noted. Few little misses

I shoulda recognized the name.

Either of you two big-brains have a chronological order of Daenerys’ attack on King’s Landing yet? I’d like to make one big piece with all the material we have…
18. The Bells Part 1 (0:00-1:39)
19. The Last War
18. The Bells Part 2 (1:40-End)
21. For Cersei Part 1 (0:00-1:23)
20. Into the Fire
21. For Cersei Part 2 (1:23-3:02)
22. Believe
21. For Cersei Part 3 (3:03-End)
18. The Bells Part 1 (0:00-1:39)
19. The Last War
18. The Bells Part 2 (1:40-End)
21. For Cersei Part 1 (0:00-1:23)
20. Into the Fire
21. For Cersei Part 2 (1:23-3:02)
22. Believe
21. For Cersei Part 3 (3:03-End)
Cool. I’ll try and work on this tonight and see how it turns out. Thanks.
Also gonna insert a piece that I ripped from season 6 into “Master of War” (what I renamed to “The Mad Queen”). It’s when Daenerys names Tyrion Hand of the Queen. It’ll fit nicely.
Is the song Jenny of Oldstones (with the actual singing part) by Florence + The Machine also availible somewhere?
As a single on iTunes. My version is the actual broadcast version when Pod (Daniel Portman) sings it.
Is your version of ost uploaded somewhere?
Not yet. Soon. After I’ve put together the chronological tracks from The Long Night and a few more edits, I’ll post post it as it’s own thread.
Scratch that, The Long Night tracks play as they are in the episode (minus the edits) chronologically, so the way I have them is correct.
It also really bothers me that the iTunes version of the OST doesn’t include the digital booklet, it’s quite annoying. Is anyone else bothered by this? Does anyone happen to have the digital booklet?
Will you let us know here, when you made new thread?

I presume you mean the tracks themselves, and not the order of the tracks (since Battle for the Skies comes after Long Night pt1)
Correct. Unlike everything in The Bells
Yeah, although I still dont know where the very start of The Long Night pt1 plays in the episode.
Good work on the first suite btw.
Good work on the first suite btw.
The Long Night (Part 1) starts around 35 min in the episode, but it’s a bit toned down/different in it. The only bit that stays roughly the same for the beginning of the cue – and it’s how I could locate it – is around 00:37 – 00:53 which plays when Jon spots the Night King and gives chase.
Either Djawadi composed something and they edited or he composed a better version after. Something similar happens with The Long Night (Part 2) with the last 27 seconds not heard in the final version of the episode. Seems they were cut.
Here goes for The Long Night : (parts not included indicated, otherwise the cues cover it)
The Battle of Winterfell – Sam calms himself and everyone waits (very condensed), Melisandre arrives, lights arakhs, meets Davos (omitted), Dothraki charge [End at 12:45 in the episode]
The Dead Are Already Here – Dothraki survivors return, wights first wave arrives, Jon & Dany first attack on dragons (Against All Odds reprise not included, slightly alternate), White Walkers send storm (omitted), Arya sends Sansa to crypts (omitted), Bran and Theon in godswood (omitted), Sam is first attacked (omitted), fall back [21min45] (not included), Jon returns to Winterfell but not Dany (not included), fighters enter Winterfell (not included), Hound is saved by arrow from Arya (not included), Unsullied protect/Greyworm breaks bridge [2min35 mark in cue], Melisandre lights trenches [end 29:35 in the episode]
The Long Night (Part 1) – Bran flies to the Night King (omitted), Night King orders wights to cross (omitted), Wights cross fire [around 35min in the episode], Jon spots Night King, gives chase, Brienne, Jaime, Sam, Jorah on ramparts (seems the cue is an alternate and very condensed, the episode version chooses almost always the same cue spread out a bit everywhere), Arya fights [through 2m45 in the cue], Arya struggles/Giant enters [The Long Night (Part 2) at 1min45 through 2m45 roughly], Lyanna kills Giant (The Long Night (Part 1) resumes through end)
Battle For The Skies – Dany and Jon follow Viserion, Viserion attacks Dany, flies away, Jon steadies Rhaegal and resumes chase (slightly alternate) [44min in the episode]

The Long Night (Part 2) – Jon follows, Night King raises the dead (not included, sounds like Army of the Dead around 20s in that cue), wights raised, crypts unsafe, Jon fights wights, Dany helps (Alternate variation of Blood of the Dragon in the episode, the cue uses a different variation of the main theme), Drogon covered in wights and flies away (not included), Jorah saves Dany [alternate but around 1m42 in the cue], Jon enters Winterfell, passes by courtyard, Theon fights in godswood, Jorah and Dany fight outside [End at 1h06m15 in the episode; 27 last seconds of cue unused]
The Night King – Sansa and Tyrion resolve to fight, Viserion burns Winterfell, Night King advances to Bran, Jon faces Viserion, Dany fights with Jorah, Theon dies, Arya arrives
Dead Before The Dawn – White Walkers destroyed, battle is won, [section between 1m22 and 1m26 slightly edited], Jorah dies, Melisandre goes out and dies

The Bells – Ships wait, scorpions ready, soldiers on the wall (condensed), citizens lock themselves, Arya and Hound enter city, Jaime removes glove, Golden Company marches out [0m00 to 1m45 in cue], Golden Company outside walls, armies face off (slightly alternate, toned down in the episode), Cersei surveys city, Arya and Hound enter the Red Keep, gates close [1m46 to end of cue]
Not included – Jamie finds another way, Tyrion surveys (omitted, Rains of Castamere variation)

Not included – Arya wakes up, struggles to breathe (omitted)
For Cersei – Cersei and Jaime arrive underneath the city, embrace and die (violin toned down and piano amplified in episode until piano disappears entirely at 2min48 and only violin remains, the cue maintains the piano) [1m25 through 3m03 of the cue]
Believe – Arya covered in ashes (condensed), sees charred bodies, sees horse [2min35 through 03m40 unused, extended in cue], Arya rides away [end of cue]
For Cersei – Credits [3m04 to the end]
I only made one and I haven’t posted it yet. But here’s a Jaquen H’Ghar/Braavos/Arya suite I made

Any idea if the omitted parts are tracked material that we already have from previous OST releases? I’d still like to make 2 big Long Night suites containing as much music from the episode as possible. Like I did for The Bells.
As far as I know, Djawadi tracked next to nothing in this episode – and given how big it was, it makes sense. There are variations of known themes we can recognize (Lord of Light, Blood of the Dragon, The Army of the Dead, House of Black and White…) but they remain unreleased.
The only tracked cues that I clearly recognized as having appeared beforehand were snippets from:
– Against All Odds when Jon and Dany first enter the battle at the start of the episode and even this is slightly different from the soundtrack version (but then again, so was the season 7 tv version *im still salty we didn’t get the tv version of Viserion’s death*) and when the storm hits, Djawadi veers into an alternate and an unreleased cue for the White Walkers
– The Army of the Dead (also from Season 7) when the Night King raises the corpses but it’s really short.
So yeah if you make a suite I think the cues from the Season 8 ost are the only ones available. You can throw Against All Odds from the Season 7 ost if you want and perhaps follow what Djawadi did when he inserted The Long Night Part 2 into Part 1 if a tv version is what you’re aiming for …
