Don’t know what Gunbound is? It’s kinda the same idea as Tank Wars, in that it’s a turn-based game and the idea is to shoot an opponent using various combinations of angle and force. Gunbound is a bit more advanced, in that there are a number of other factors you have to consider, such as wind, delay, and weather (I think?? Toradoes, eclipse, force beam, etc). There are a number of bots to choose from and each have distinct "behavior" I guess you could say.

Sometimes when you hit an opponent, you get money and GP (kind of like experience points). The GP obviously lets you advance in rank and the money can get you cool stuff for your little character.

After you install it, there will be the annoying task of logging into your account here (http://www.softnyx.net/) and setting up a Game ID (your little character’s name, not to be confused with your account name), verifying your email, and the like. The website is annoyingly slow, but it’s worth it in the end!

To explain it a little more, many people I’ve spoken to say it is like the game Worms (I’ve never played Worms, so I don’t know if it is true).

Also, what you need to do once you have the game is register, then you have to go to the gunbound section of their website and set up a game ID. Once you do that, click on the verify button in your profile. You get to your profile by going to their main site, here (http://www.softnyx.net/), clicking on the gunbound side of the screen, and then clicking on "my gunbound". You’ll end up getting two e-mails, check them both to verify (one of them will give you an error message, don’t worry). The game you’ll actually use in the game is your game id, not your registration account.

Neo Xzhan: Most items you can get for gold, there are only a handful that you have to actually pay for.

P.S. Why was this moved? I know it�s a game, but I still think this was fine in GD. At very least it could be in Eggs.

Question, about the game self, maybe a little technical. There’s a small setup function. I wanted to torn off the music so I could run Winamp for music. But every time I modify and exit the setup utility, it resets. I cannot turn off the sound or anything else.

Anyone able to help me out?

You have to turn the sound and music off while you’re playing an actual game. It’s under the options. Some people have experienced problems with this as well. What I’d do, is play a game and turn the sound off while it isn’t your turn. Then, right after the game, exit GB. This should save the settings for you.

After I turned off sound for the first time (by going into a game and adjusting settings) its stayed at those settings every time i log on.

I think that your game might not be exiting properly, then Neo Xzhan. Because it only resets if you modify the settings and then the game crashes or you exit using ALT+F4. If you exit normally, it should stay. But it is stupid that you can’t adjust the settings until you’re in the game.

I PLAYED FOR THE FIRST TIME.

I didn’t know who was on my team and made everyone angry when I killed them!

It was funny because I walked right behind someone and he knew I was a crazy team killer and he was all like "OMG OMG OMG" then I blew him up and someone said:

"Nice win, membous. FOR US."

I played again then left because I was ashamed!

Pretty fun, I’d say, but I’m spoiled on skyping while playing it (even though I don’t really talk much), so I’d never be able to play without someone to talk to.

I’m 3263287 on there for now, but when I get enough gold I’m changing to KingChrist or something.
