Im going thru an old box of random stuff and come across FF8 and figure hey thatd be fun to play again. Unfortunately, during the opening sequence it crashes to desktop. Ive done plenty of searching and found plenty of other people with the same problem, but no one with any working solutions. Oddly enough, when I downloaded the demo it ran the dancing scene that crashes for so many other without difficulty. But Im getting off the point...
Im giving up on trying to fix the problem, Ive tried every suggestion Ive come across, and am hoping that if I could get a save game from someone immediately after the opening that I could play the rest of the game. However, the only save games Ive been able to find are right before the final and/or ones where all the characters are maxed out. Could I get a saved game from someone saved from the very first possible save point?

Saved game after opening?

Might wanna pay more attention to the post dates --- the thread was started on the 2nd of the month and it's now the 28th. So hopefully the problem has long been solved.
