Gentlemen, I'm glad you've enjoyed this project, but I have been made aware now that I have sacrificed too much personally in order to complete it. Perhaps in time I can return to it and finish the essay and the Workprint score. For now, I have to step away and attend to real life.

I listened it today. I am used to the old bootlegs (Esper edition etc...). The long Leon's Interrogation was surprising !
I noticed the "boom" sound (first second) of Main title already sound different. They used alternates cues for the Final cut or they seriously EQued this part ?

I haven't A/B'd it with other bootlegs, but I suspect what you're hearing is that some of the other releases were taken from inferior sources. I used the Blu-Ray channels as much as I could for the best sound throughout.

I've discovered a program called ISSE that allows for better isolations, so I've upgraded "I Want More Life/The Prodigal Son Brings Death" to remove the bleed from the voices in the scene. This is a much improved version of the track now.

Greetings. I saw that there was a post above describing a potential anomaly with the first track, and I've shared this sentiment for quite a bit now. The pitch/speed doesn't match any of the copies of the film I've had in my possession. You might say this perhaps has to do with the release I got, since I did import it from Europe. However, a friend had grabbed a copy that he says is American, and the speed matched my copy instead of yours here. Since I'm assuming this edit is based on the Final Cut, I do wonder what might've caused this discrepancy here. Also, the transition at 02:36 doesn't match the film upon having inspected the FC audio myself.

So I actually made an edit (https://www.mediafire.com/file/ofai8ul2ma4syrp/01._Main_Titles__Prologue__Los_Angeles_November_20 19.flac/file) addressing both of these points (with special thanks to Skelly (http://forums.ffshrine.org/member.php?u=638687) for adjusting the volume at the start), as I felt that area of the score could've been improved on. I can't really say much else about the rest of the score, since the film presentation of the music is one I'm conflicted on as a whole. Am curious to know what you think of this peculiar issue.

Also, incredibly minor correction from an earlier post (that's bothering me more than it should): Demask Rose is a track that is on the original OST, and not one of the ones that were made for the Trilogy set. Not sure where I'd gotten the impression that you said it was a fake track (might've been a discussion with DAK), but I felt like getting it off my chest anyway.

Anyway, regardless of what I might think of the presentation itself, you did a splendid job assembling it. Seeing as I hadn't grabbed a particular BR set prior to this year (that I seriously listened to at least), I am happy to have had this as my first. Am anticipating the workprint set, though I do wonder how you'll rearrange the extras section on the main set afterwards.

Hi, thanks for this. I'll compare the versions and let you know what I find. It's entirely possible I got mixed up somewhere along the line. There were a lot of elements to keep track of!

Regarding "Damask Rose," I'm not sure what I stated as to its original release but you're correct: it's on the first soundtrack. The larger point is that it's not in the film, though it may have been composed for a scene and not used. I just don't have any information on that.

With the Workprint version, the main set will stay the same since there isn't much overlap. There are a lot of differences throughout even before you get to the third act with the temp cues.
