Hey so uh, a little update. Since I'm currently focusing on cutscenes, I thought "Why the hell not" and am recording all of them as videos with 5.1ch audio.
I'm going down the list, barely began on Olympus right now. I will be grabbing all new cutscene music, as I'm done with batches.
Also, anybody knows a good service to upload all these to? Music only will of course go to the current music folder.

Personally, I use MEGA for uploading music AND downloading music so I think using it would be one the best choices.

Hello. Sorry for the silence. Things are coming, and a lot has changed. As such, please check the folder in the first post.

Some of them (Like OtherVector, FB2 and FB3 ) took a bit because I was trying my damn hardest to get as much of the intro as it's possible. I think I did gud, but FB3 might need an improvement in that regard... but not now.

That I am. Plus I'll be changing crapload of hardware inside my PC in like a day or two, because my current stuff is having issues. As such, until then I will be holding off on recording anything.
I am planning to continue this though, at least as long until a soundtrack release appears or we can rip the files from the game (but for that we need a new exploit for PS4 with firmware 6.20 and/or up).

OP already said he/she is having computer trouble and still working on it. Ripping a whole soundtrack is a big job and he/she isn't getting paid anything for it, so whining isn't called for.

Both seems likely as they were my guesses for the delay as well. As there will be no "Final Mix" release as opposed to the other games, they will release the "Critical Mode" via DLC together with new story content (like they did with FINAL FANTASY XV), but they could have released the original soundtrack and later Vol.2 or something like that.

I think it has something to do with that World of Tres Orchestra Tour, maybe they'll release the concert CD and OST around the same time. Maybe to avoid spoilers or whatever. But it's kinda strange to be honest.

Definitely a shame. "Passion" from the first tour was one of my favorites and it never made it to the CD. I can see myself really enjoying "Face My Fears" as well, which didn't make the cut. Looking forward to going in June.

Hopefully someday we get a full set or the full orchestra on blu-ray. I would definitely buy so that I can experience the orchestra again.

And the world of tres cd is being sold only at concerts with a release to public labeled as summer although I dont remember exactly which site listed that .

The CDJapan listing was a proxy listing, so they were buying it from somewhere else. My guess would be that it was a second-hand seller or someone who put it up on an auction site after buying it at the concert. I believe the album is so far not available online anywhere for mass release.

I was just gonna say Nintendo's made their fans wait almost a year for each of The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild and Xenoblade Chronicles 2 soundtracks. Unless SE is planning on releasing more DLC after Re:MIND, it would be a wasted opportunity not to release the soundtrack at that time imo.

I'm curious to see though what format(s) they will release this soundtrack in. We saw FFXV get Blu-ray disc treatment on its initial OST release, so I'm not surprised if they'd do the same for KH3.

Well, I never got such results before. Not only did it detect the cik from my fucking license file (which I've put in the folder purely for research) but it seems to be doing stuff I've never seen it do.

Well, if the sfx and voices magically disappeared I could quite easily record most of the game's music without worry about sfx or voice lines.
Supposedly it happened to people when they had the game open for too long, among other things.

As I started the game a few days ago, I was wondering how the OST would look like. It seems there is a lot of music in there, from original songs up to arranged songs from previous games and, to my surprise, a lot of music for cutscenes. While these to my first listenings are mostly old songs rearranged, they were written especially for the respective scenes. But as I finished Olymp only for now, I can't argue further more. But I find most cutscenes WAY to long and the music isn't thrilling as it could be. Background and battle music on the other side is fantastic.

I guess we'll have at least 4 CDs like KHII, if not even more for some additional music (some unreleased cues from 0.2: Birth by Sleep – A Fragmentary Passage and χ Back Cover. Maybe they'll do it like with Final Fantasy XV with 4 CDs and an additional soundtrack Vol.2. Or they decide to go straight to Blu-ray... but I wonder what takes so long to receive even news about an soundtrack release...

From what I've red there should be at least 50+ recycled tunes been featured in the game, wether rearranged or in original form, I don't know.

To be honest, I don't know. But as I'm playing the game, I guess KH3's soundtrack will be the largest of all soundtracks, mainly because of the tons of music written especially for the (too long and too many) cutscenes!
If they include these as well, we could get a 6-disc set with only music from the game, not even included BC/UnionX/0.2/Re:Mind DLC. Well, maybe I'm overdoing it, but hey... Square Enix is like a perfectionist.
They take their time. And mostly it's worth waiting, so..

But yeah, the idea that we have to wait till the end of the year for the game's soundtrack kinda sucks... but maybe we get official news later after the E3 is over.

Ah, that's interesting! Both news. Thank you for the information :) I haven't played the game that far (in Corona Kingdom right now), but that one with Einh�nder is a nice treat.

The difference is exactly as it says. 2ch are just regular stereo. 6ch are surround tracks of sorts. Though from what I see, only four of those six channels are actually used. I just kept them with 6 for compatibility sake.
Also, dunno if I mentioned this before. Added five parts of Destati (not fully complete but eh) plus the Titans boss tune from Olympus. Also, just added:
Mysterious Legion, it's 2ch only so its only in the 2ch folder. Its just how it appears to be, just Foretellers Case from Scala.
Just for info: It's the Union X track which plays when Sora gets help from the keyblade wielders from the mobile game. It has two version, one with full into (and sfx on the intro, nothing i can do) and wihout full intro. Choose wisely.

It's because I'm trying to not fuck up quality. My recordings are pure .wav's which I encode to FLAC. I fully realize the original files in the game might not be possibly too high in bitrate, so I just try to not degrade it any further.

It seems that there are approximately 200 tracks (twice the amount of KH1 and KH2, and four times the amount of BBS and DDD), the bulk of which is only used in cutscenes. Several times, it's dynamic music as well. Just like what Maxwill posted, with DLC and potential music incoming, it's thus likely going to take a while to mix all these tracks for a release...

The "Lost Masters" (Foreteller Epilogue music at the end of KHIII) is included in the new Keyblade War Event in Union-X just FYI.

Fantastic! I already made a list of music tracks while I played the game some weeks ago, however your list is very detailed! Thank you so much for your work! Pretty interesting. So I was right with my guesses then. 200 tracks is a huge amount! I wonder how the soundtrack release will look like. Minor correction, first Marluxia in Corona cutscene ("Marluxia's Request") plays a new version of Thirteenth Discretion, not Scent of Silence.

Thanks for the info and corrections everyone! I made some minute updates to the worksheet. Nothing major, just re-identified some cutscenes tracks based on your feedback (such as "Villains of a Sort" and "Thirteenth Discretion"), and added a link to the newly extracted track from X Back Cover.
I will probably keep on updating the worksheet until a soundtrack is released.

Only my Xbox One X remains, my PS4s are now BOTH fucking dead.
In other news, I see on twitter some people have access to 3d models from the game, but mostly just character models. This means someone either did a dump of the game or somehow cracked the fucking pkg passcode or some shit.
I don't want to say you should expect a gamerip, because at best you can expect 3d model rips. That's how it usually goes I noticed with these "PS4 game dumps". Which is sad, but eh, whatever.
I will try to get ReMind on xbox, but currently I have no time to record shit. And hopefully they announce a full ost release after the dlc so I can stop being slow.

I think they already prepared the original soundtrack, with mixing and everything, and wait for the DLC to avoid spoilers or so. It will be released towards the end of this year. This is my guess.
We're talking about Square Enix after all, who's eager to make money as fast as possible haha ;)

And as I said earlier, either a 6 or 7 CD set like the KINGDOM HEARTS Complete Box, or one or two Blu ray discs (similar to their Revival Discs or Final Fantasy XIV's releases). Let's wait and see...

Okay I see the intro portion to the saix battle theme (kg872_Battle & kg872_cut) but not the loop section for the battle, Anyone else? Also trying to see if ''yozora'' and the ''lostmasters cutscene'' is in here.

The reason the rip isn�t �complete� is because I only had the files from the base game. The day 1 update has the remaining files plus the endings including yozora. That will be ripped....eventually. Yes, the original GDrive link was NOT supposed to be public because I wanted to figure out why things were missing but apparently someone didn�t get the memo about not sharing until I made it public, but now I pushed it to the joshw archive. Despite so, enjoy the rip, people.

about BGM_hless_ba_boss_2, that file is the deep end from kh 1.5, not from kh3, as for the roxas entrance, that's where that is

VGMGUI doesn't recognise "hidden" tracks (ie. tracks 2+ in a multi-file pack), you need to use the actual vgmstream plugin+compatible player to play and convert those. The Last Light part 3/Sa�x phase 2, Rock Titan battle tracks, Demon Tide tracks, and probably more I can't recall right now are like this.

VGMGUI doesn't recognise "hidden" tracks (ie. tracks 2+ in a multi-file pack), you need to use winamp to play and convert those.

Even when converted to FLAC the size would be large because the size of the wav files with often had 4 sound channels was ridiculus, like double the size. That's why I want to upload an mp3 version as well.

Fantastic work, Yorochi! Thank you for the time spent on this. Everything seems to have been greatly sorted out and named from the gamerip. It looks like we have a proper soundtrack to listen (at least until the next patch releases) (EDIT) with actual fade outs at the end of suitable tracks, and everything. Awesome!

Some feedback after going through the entire thing:

Track #10 and #11 are switched
"Seekers of the Black Box" (#24) has sfx, though I think its sfx-less file in the gamerip is "he119_cut";
Track #21 (boss battle music against the Titans in Olympus) is missing (though tracks #22 to #52 are correctly numbered). In the gamerip, I think it is "dis_bat_boss_2" (EDIT: the track is only missing as a MP3, the FLAC is here);
There are 2 tracks numbered #53: "Buzz's Doubts" and "Not Buzz, Too";
The boss battle music when fighting the UFO in Toy Box ("Desire For All That is Lost" or "Farewell!" if named after its cutscene) is missing, and should be between the two #53 tracks. In the gamerip, I think it is either "chu_bat_boss_1" or "portal_battle_1". By adding it as track #54, it should flush all following track numbers by +2. EDIT: Forget it, it's included as track #106. Nevermind, sorry.
Track #97 is misspelled as "Confrontation with Vanitus" instead of "Confrontation with Vanitas"; the error seem to have stemmed from my own tracklist, my bad;
If named after its cutscene, track #108 named "Thirteen Darknesses (sfx)" should perhaps be renamed "True Love";
Track #132 (EDIT) has its name is from the cutscene "A Stronger Power Rises" in the Kingdom of Corona (which is track #72), but the music is actually from the boss battle against Davy Jones and Dark Baymax. Fantastic work, Yorochi! Thank you for the time spent on this. Everything seems to have been greatly sorted out and named from the gamerip. It looks like we have a proper soundtrack to listen (at least until the next patch releases) (EDIT) with actual fade outs at the end of suitable tracks, and everything. Awesome!

Some feedback after going through the entire thing:

Track #10 and #11 are switched
"Seekers of the Black Box" (#24) has sfx, though I think its sfx-less file in the gamerip is "he119_cut";
Track #21 (boss battle music against the Titans in Olympus) is missing (though tracks #22 to #52 are correctly numbered). In the gamerip, I think it is "dis_bat_boss_2" (EDIT: the track is only missing as a MP3, the FLAC is here);
There are 2 tracks numbered #53: "Buzz's Doubts" and "Not Buzz, Too";
The boss battle music when fighting the UFO in Toy Box ("Desire For All That is Lost" or "Farewell!" if named after its cutscene) is missing, and should be between the two #53 tracks. In the gamerip, I think it is either "chu_bat_boss_1" or "portal_battle_1". By adding it as track #54, it should flush all following track numbers by +2. EDIT: Forget it, it's included as track #106. Nevermind, sorry.
Track #97 is misspelled as "Confrontation with Vanitus" instead of "Confrontation with Vanitas"; the error seem to have stemmed from my own tracklist, my bad;
If named after its cutscene, track #108 named "Thirteen Darknesses (sfx)" should perhaps be renamed "True Love";
Track #132 (EDIT) has its name is from the cutscene "A Stronger Power Rises" in the Kingdom of Corona (which is track #72), but the music is actually from the boss battle against Davy Jones and Dark Baymax. (In the MP3 archive, track #132 also incorrectly has the name of the cutscene "Time for Your Hearties".)

I didn't realize that the Titans battle theme was missed....I really WAS wearing myself thin... For the misnumbering, I didn't notice until after I uploaded both. For cutscene misnomers I didn't have a list of cutscene names as through as I liked while incorrect characters were from the converter. I think for 10 and 11, I couldn't remember the order.

I noticed several missing, some were from 0.2, Back Cover, etc. so I didn't include those,others weren't put in by mistake or computer issues so I'm updating them as we speak.

I usually lurk, but wanted to drop by to specifically thank both Kharaxel and Yorichi. Because of the efforts of you both we have the freaking soundtrack to this game. Without you, we'd have nothing.

He's not an asshole for pointing out the facts. Sorry if the truth hurts. No one here is entitled to free uploads from you, and I'm sure everyone was thankful for your contributions seeing as we didn't have anything else, but false promises still won't win you much sympathy.

Fair enough, but my "false promises" mostly steem from the fact I have a turbulent life and just couldn't meet those promises unfortunately. I tried, yes, but ultimately couldn't. Don't think I don't realize that.
That guy was an asshole from the very beginning though, I'm not just basing my comment on that one jab. If that's all it were, I wouldn't mind. Because yes, I was fucking slow. Sad but true.

I also noticed that tracks used in 0.2 Birth by Sleep from Yorichi's rip all have 6 channels, perhaps for use as 5.1 surround (akin to many tracks of KH3 which have 4+ channels). It seems that some of these tracks contain interesting, reduced arrangements of the full track, such solo violin + synthesiser. It's worth listening!

Which is basically a tool for music source separation recently made public.
Anyhoo, using it while doing tests on various audio from tv shows I noticed it doesn't murder the BGM track even from a lq quality source completely like some tools which actually separate the vocals a bit better.
So I decided to try with the audio file of the cutscene from Back Cover. The one where MoM and Luxu talk and Luxu gets the Black Box.
In other words, I removed the vocals using the above tool from MoM's theme. It's not perfect, but the results are pleasing enough to me where I can listen to it. Keep in mind though I can listen to this stuff with full dialogue and all sfx if I have no other choice so please understand i'm not picky where i can't be.
The original audio is just a stereo m4a file so despite some parts of the voices still being hearable (pretty much residue) and some sfx (especially the bg ambience) still being there... i consider this good enough.
I wasn't even going to share it, since people usually frown on any kind of vocal removal no matter how well done, but I figured i'll do it since why not. Maybe there's another thirsty enough person who'll enjoy this? Oh well. Enough blabber, here it is:
