I was always confused why cloud remembers nibelhiem on fire. Considering it never happened why does cloud remember this. I know he was recalling Zacks side of the story but even side interpretation never showed nibelhiem on fire.

Any thoughts????

Maybe they remembered but they just don't speak it outloud?? It's a possibility! hehe

The townspeople are actually Shinra employees. It was covered up...

The Shinra rebuilt the whole village as a coverup. There's a letter on Tifa's table (or should I say the replica of Tifa's table) about all the coverup.

Tifa remembers Nibelheim burning as well.
