Directed by John Ford and with John Wayne and Maureen O'Hara playing the leads, The Quiet Man is a Technicolor American romantic comedy-drama film that won the Academy Award for Best Director (Ford’s fourth and making him, by now, the only director with four Best Director Oscars) and for Best Cinematography, Color.

This album re-records the complete Victor Young’s score for the film. Performed by The Dublin Screen Orchestra under the baton of Kenneth Alwyn, it was produced in Ireland.
