Hello everyone!

I'm here to present you my own custom four-disc version of The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time's soundtrack which aims to combine the best possible version of each track into one complete album. It also includes Hyrule Symphony (https://vgmdb.net/album/531) and the Re-Arranged Album (https://vgmdb.net/album/289).

When the official soundtrack was released in Japan (https://vgmdb.net/album/293), Nintendo decided to stuff everything onto a single CD which meant many songs had to be cut short, sometimes even missing out entire sections. The American one (https://vgmdb.net/album/2558) featured uncut music, but it also removed several songs in exchange. Meanwhile Nintendo of Europe decided to release their own two-disc version (https://vgmdb.net/album/1888) of the soundtrack (https://vgmdb.net/album/6374) which featured full versions of every major song in the game, but it was still missing several shorter tunes. Over a decade later Nintendo celebrated the series' 25th Anniversary and the release of Ocarina of Time 3D by publishing yet another incomplete one-disc version of the soundtrack (https://vgmdb.net/album/26628).

The Complete Soundtrack Collection aims to rectify these mistakes and be the, in my opinion, definitive version of Ocarina of Time's soundtrack containing every piece of the game's music, alternate versions, orchestrations and official remixes.

Update

-Fixed clipping issues that were present in some of the tracks (see below)
-Replaced "2-39 Game Select (GameCube Version)" with a higher quality version

I finally found some time to do this. As it turns out several tracks had clipping issues presumably due poor mastering, so I went through each track and manually repaired the damaged sections. The exception to this are the Re-Arranged Album tracks for which I used Audacity's automatic Clip Fix tool. A good example of the clipping would be "4-04 Epona's Song ''Lon Lon Ranch'' (Re-Arranged Album)" which has a very audible crackling noises on the right ear. It's not perfect but unless Nintendo re-releases the album it's the best I can do.

I've also re-ripped Master Quest's Game Select song with a different method which resulted in a better quality rip. I doubt the difference is audible though.

The Clip Fix tool isn't perfect, but manually going through the Re-Arranged Album tracks just isn't feasible. It did little to improve the other tracks from the album so I left those untouched.

I checked this. Thanks for all your work. This release is not my style, though. Most of the remixes are not good electronic music and they kind of destroy the magic of the soundtrack in my opinion.
In my Ocarina of Time folder there are three releases and I will keep all of them. I like them separately more than this with remixes and re-arrangements mixed in.
