This is the 24-bit Concord release. It has the exact same content of CD1 from the 2008 boxset and subsequent 2009 standalone CD (including the pitch problem on some tracks, specially "The Map Room: Dawn"). Audibly, I really couldn't detect any difference, other than being slightly louder. But my listening equipment isn't optimal either. Now visually, using the spectral view of Adobe Audition, this release looks "cleaner" than the standard 16-bit version. Again, the difference I noticed is visually only. This is probably the same master used to for the 2017 vinyl release, as the PDF booklet (included here) states "Vinyl Lacquer cut by Bernie Grundman". Enjoy!

I was interested in this since I read SonicAdventure's comments in his Treasure Box Edition thread (thanks again for providing the set to him).

Then I did a rough check of the pitches, but didn't notice the problems at first glance, for several reasons: my generous tolerance to differences -that was elegant-, not being sure if I had the right files and what to compare, and the nature of film music, copious in modulations.

After downloading your set I did find those differences in the track "The Map Room Dawn". The biggest interval is, to my ears, slightly less than a semitone, but it actually was released at three different pitches along the years. If sorted, the change between the contiguous cases is smaller, so it was easy to overlook in a quick check.

That's very interesting. I believe the 1995 release is considered accurate. However, I don't like the mix they used for it, like it almost completely mutes the haunting choral. My favorite version of it is the original 1981 (with pitch correction, of course).

I doubt it. I believe the rights no longer belongs to Concord. I say this because the "new" Spotify versions, regarding the copyright, now says "�2018 Lucasfilm Ltd. ℗2008 Lucasfilm Ltd." with no mention to Concord whatsoever. Just like the recent Star Wars soundtrack album releases, where the copyright make no mention to Sony.

About the Indy soundtracks on Spotify, the funny thing is that the classical trilogy it's listed at least twice. On the older listings the copyright does say "under exclusive license to Concord" and bla-bla-bla. Kingdom of the Crystal Skull, curiously, is listed 5 times on Spotify. All with the same content, of course. But only the recent listing says "�2018 Lucasfilm Ltd. ℗2008 Lucasfilm Ltd.", also with no mention to Concord, while the other 4 listings has the "under exclusive license to Concord" thing.

I believe the deal with Concord was for 10 years, made in 2008. Could be that the rights now reversed to Disney.
