Ok, read that whole thing on there being a next Final Fantasy on XBox360, and please correct me if Im wrong, but thats not going to happen. Didnt...
1. Did Square not say they wanted to take the company in other directions and to other fronteers, and that XII would be the last Final Fantasy?
2. Final Fantasy creater left Square to start Dream Water.
Have I been misinformed?

He left and made Mistwalker, and he wants to work with the xbox 360. It won`t be a final fantasy though. And as far as i known, square haven`t officialy been intrested in the xbox 360...

Truer than a valiant pig of virtue true
There's no way they're stopping after XII.
That would be far too good to be true.

Mistwalker's Blue Dragon (

Mistwalker's Lost Odyssey (

Square Enix and Microsoft (
http://xbox360.ign.com/articles/613/613541p1.html)
That's all the official information right now. Hironobu Sakaguchi's new company, Mistwalker, is creating two new games for the X360 with a lot of talent, including the character designer for Dragon Quest and Dragon Ball, and Square Enix and Microsoft have made some kind of deal - the details of that deal are unknown, but it's mentioned in the same breath as Mistwalker, so it's most likely a game development deal.
However, this does not mean exclusivity just yet; as you remember, there were Final Fantasies released on Nintendo consoles during the last generation; Crystal Chronicles, Tactics Advance, Dawn of Souls. There has been no announcement as to exactly what system Final Fantasy XIII will be on.
And no, there are absolutely NO plans to scrap the main Final Fantasy series.

Of course they won't stop after XII. They will continue to make more, untill it does not make money anymore.

In the Sony press conference, Square Enix president said that the mainstream FF games will be on the PS3, while other side games such as FF:CC and FFXI will go to other consoles.

For the disturbingly uninformed, the founder of Mist Walker, Hironobu Sakaguchi, was also the creator of the Final Fantasy series. To those of you who don't seem to know, Final Fantasy VII is not the be-all and end-all of the series.
Square Enix owns the rights to everything related to Final Fantasy. Sakaguchi, even though he created the original idea, no longer works for Square Enix - he left to form Mist Walker.

They're not stopping at FFXII because at E3 they said they're going to continue the next generation of FF games on PS3. They're going to republish FFXI for the xbox 360 only, and it they might make completely new RPGs for the xbox.

Thank you for telling us what we've already heard 10 million times in this thread and others, already.

The creator of FF can't just leave and create a new company and start making FF games since S-E owns the rights to the name.
I read that FFXI may be released on the Xbox 360 though.

I think this whole topic is stupid, because all we get is mixed results. Why dont we just wait until the games are announced before we start jumping to stupid conclusions.

No one said that Mist Walker WAS making Final Fantasy games. Their first game, Blue Dragon, is a completely new IP co-developed with the artist of Dragon Ball and Dragon Quest.
And there is no 'may' about Final Fantasy XI being released on the Xbox. Final Fantasy XI will DEFINATELY be released on Xbox 360.

Having XI on XBox 360 is good news expands the community, has a better home for console, 360 will be big and it's clever by them to do this.

FFXII on Xbox ha they said that that FF would go to Xbox awhile ago especailly before FFX-2 come the only thing they came for the Xbox was the FFXI for the pc also they would even dare to as they would have complaints from FF fans as FF has been mainly coming out for ps1 and ps2 for years.
