Das Dschungelbuch

An interesting fact about some of the Disney classics is that the soundtracks were sometimes contemporaneously re-recorded, using different voice artists for different territories. The effect is curious, of hearing music that one is, perhaps over-familiar with, yet suddenly made different and given a new slant. The German one is a good example and some tracks I think, sound better in their new language (e.g.Colonel Hathi's March), while it may be my imagination but the singers perform informed by a different musical heritage. I have also German versions of Pinnochio and one other I think, somewhere on my hard drive if any one's curiosity is piqued.
