Dark Knight 86

Hey guys, I know, I haven't posted any material in like, almost a month now, so I figured I share something until my project is complete.

This was a CD I bought on Ebay a couple of years ago, and thought it would be something you guys could be interested in.

I used Exact Audio Copy to rip the CD in FLAC format.

So without further do, here is the link:

http://www.mediafire.com/file/45q1hafkopop6ce/McBain+%281991%29+%2B+Tarzan+And+The+Lost+City++%2 81998%29+Bootleg+%28FLAC%29+-+Christopher+Franke.zip

Any problems with the link, just let me know.

Peace Out! :)

Thanks for sharing.

I didn't have this, and it's interesting to see how the Tarzan material had been put together, since it looked different from a tracklist I had vs the unreleased version of the score.

But not surprisingly, this is just (like all of these pressed boots), sourced from the unreleased version, adding some of the tracks from Franke's New Music For Films Vol. 2 album.

And, like almost always as well with these pressed boots, it has weird edits, cutting away the beginning of tracks (such as on track 38 and 40), etc, and also leaves out a good amount of material (maybe 15 min) from the original unreleased version as well. And it also feels like it sound a bit mono'ish, or at least has a narrowed stereo field in parts (but that could be just me).

Overall, go with the unreleased version (with maybe adding a couple of tracks from the New Music For Films Vol. 2), since it has all cues in their original form, with clean start/ends, and overall better quality I think. The only positive I can say is that this pressed boot appear to be all lossless sourced, and all I've ever come across on the unreleased version is a lossy sourced one, so that probably means a lossless do exist ... So if anyone could have it, do let me know :)

I won't comment on the McBain portion of the disc, since I don't know that at all.

This is not a bootleg, but a private release by Christopher Franke. Totally official with great sound. I bought it months ago and loved it.

THIS is a bootleg. Maybe the original versions from McBain and Tarzan And The Lost City where given out as a "private release" by Franke at some point (most likely), but this specific version (Orange Records) is a bootleg, just like all those First Born Records, for instance.

As I mentioned back a while, speaking of the Tarzan only portion of this disc, it leaves out a good 15 minutes from the unreleased version, and have weird edits and such, so go with the unreleased version of it :)
