Why didn't Square make it so that you can play after you destroy kefka and the world rebuilds itself? that would be cool you know. no monsters, additional quests (like finding dogs for ppl lol). i always wished there was more to that game. Of course if you got so bored that you quit the game forever that retarded old man could just keep his colosseum (theres plenty of monsters there.) And also since you gamble for items there, why doesn't setzer hang out there any?

Yeah, playing the aftermath of FF6 would be a nice bonus... although a FF6 without monsters would get boring, I'd think.

There was originally gonna be a sequal to FF6, it was gonna be specifically about Shadow's story, granted everyone else is in it too, but it's about Shadow. But they had to go straight to FF7.

Aww that would be pretty cool if they did do the sequel maybe square just need a little nudge ;). I think Shadow story was pretty intense just kinda sad that my first play through i only saw like 3 dreams.

Read it on FFO about 6 years ago, saw official screenshots too. Then again I could be wrong.

Shadow dies anyway, he just crouches in a little ball and goes up with the rest of the splosion. Bleh.

I'd love to play a follow-up game to FF6. It's my absolute favorite game of all time.

I remember when nintendo launched ultra 64, squaresoft make a prototype game, but never ended... i saw in magazines some screen shoot showing terra and locke fighting and gigant mole. I thoung they tryed to launch the second part of FF3 aka FF6.. but by the time PS was growing and was a better plataform to create newer games, so maybe FF6-2 proyect was closed.

What you're talking about was nothing but a tech demo for the N64. There was no plan for a sequel to FFVI.

WHAT THE FUCK!!!!!!!! ff6 was and still is the SHIT!!!!! This game is the greatest of all the final fantasies. Though I do like the idea of a shadow game.
Also He doesent die if you wait before jumping off the floating continent. But a Shadow or an aftermath game would be great if it had monsters.

There were some fan made games like that, but none were finished that I know of. I linked to one here a LONG time ago. I can try and dig it up, but I'm not even sure it was on this incarnation of the forums.

Now, now. I believe that you believe it sucks. For those of us who adore FF6, quit bad mouthing it and bad mouth a game that deserves it, like FF2. The idea of a Shadow game would blow our minds, but if they made certain characters more important, like Gogo, Leo (I don't care if he's dead, they should end up ressing him.) and Kefka Fan #2. Kefka Fan #2 was the greatest of them all. Lol. Seriously, I think that lesser characters should be expanded.

Even if you wait for him at the floating continent, he still dies in the ending of the game.

i agree about general leo. after i got the pheonix magicite i became obsessed with seeing if there was some secret way to use it to bring him back. i remember one time i even had a dream where i brought him back and woke up very sad lol.

i also remember the tech demo as well, and was very disappointed when i found out it wasnt FF7. the screens looked awesome, one was of locke, shadow and celes fighting.

6 really does need a sequel though (same goes for 4). it was a popular game for its time, and a favorite amongst the older gamers. i know the newer ones have sold more, and have produced sequels because of that, but c'mon anything with the FF namesake will do well at this point.
