Question: my brother wanted to join the forum, but can't as the captcha has been removed, and he can't get any further into registration can anyone help?
No image verification - No captcha - no registration

I sincerely believe the admins and mods for this website are all unanimously being held hostage someplace, and we're entirely on our own.

No new members. No recovery if you forget your password. It's the end of days.

It still lets you submit the form successfully without entering anything into the captcha field, however. But the admins should upgrade when they have a chance, or I imagine we'll start seeing new bots/spam users.

Thank you! Brilliant. I should add that you need to enter it with the quotation marks.

My friend is trying to register but he can't get past the broken reCAPTCHA, even if he types what was suggested above. Can anyone advise how he can register?

a friend of mine has the same problem, writing: "reCAPTCHA V1 IS SHUTDOWN" is not working at all. impossible to register then.
here's the answer:

What happens to reCAPTCHA v1?
Any calls to the v1 API will not work after March 31, 2018. Starting in November 2017, a percentage of reCAPTCHA v1 traffic will begin to show a notice informing users that the old API will soon be retired. Most websites around the world have already switched to reCAPTCHA v2, where humans pass effortlessly. With our advanced risk analysis engine, reCAPTCHA v2 can effectively separate humans from bots and always stay ahead of the attackers. If your site still uses reCAPTCHA v1, please upgrade to reCAPTCHA v2 immediately. We no longer support reCAPTCHA v1. Any calls to the v1 API will not work after March 31, 2018. Please register a new key and upgrade to v2.

i will try to ask Jessie or Leon and I'll let you know if i get any answer.

Yeah, I was about to have a nervous breakdown... I forgot my password and it took me over a month to guess what it was, so I could finally log back in just now :)

reCAPTCHA has been replaced by another image verification. I've tried it and it's working now.

I won't hide that I very much preferred it when "reCAPTCHA" didn't work anymore, now we're going to have once again banned users who'll return within minutes.
