The desc for this soundtrack said it should have included a disc with mp3s on it from what I saw, any chance someone could upload just that? 36GB is a bit much.

That's not the case with .mkv. He ripped the video only. We can take the mp3 if someone upload .ISO/BDMV. I wonder if the uploader didn't know they included the mp3 in the BD.

I've re-encoded the BD rip, change to mp3.

I don't think so. I read somewhere in reddit that Mitsuda has no plans for an official CD release of the concert. I guess the best we can do is rip the audios from the NicoNico stream and make a fan soundtrack of the concert.

I agree. It is amazing how much recognition this game has received this 20th anniversary. I just started playing Xenogears for the first time about a month and a half ago and immediately fell in love with the game. This album release and the concert have fueled my desire to finish the game even more. I believe I decided to play this game during the perfect time.

So back to topic. The difference between the concert and the revivial disc is that the concert was streamed live from Japan on April 8 with an orchestra and many of the songs were changed to an orchestra feel. I watched it live and it was an unforgettable experience. Mitsuda was part of the orchestra as well. The revivial disc is a rerelease of the original soundtrack in a higher quality (much higher IMO) and 4 extra songs rearranged with vocals from a group called Anuna. They were also part of the concert. So in summary, they are different experiences.

Is there a non-torrent link of the original high-quality concert?

The concert was great! Seeing Mitsuda on stage playing with the orchestra and hosting the concert was a big deal, composers don't usually do that. I am bummed about the skips in the video though. At least those skips aren't in the mp3s.
