Audrey Hepburn is one of my all time favourite screen actresses. She was such a classy lady and a superb actress too. Some of Hollywood's notable Golden Age and International composers (especially Henry Mancini) were inspired to write some of their greatest music for her films. A commercial CD was released in 1993 of music from a selection of her films but most were not original soundtracks and the CD contained only about 40 minutes of music and, in my opinion, was poorly mastered. When making your own computer CDs became a possibility in the 1990s, one of my first custom CD-Rs was an expanded compilation of music from her films which I recently went back to and remixed from newer DSD transfers and more up to date remastering for the best possible sound. I also applied the extraction system to selections that were originally recorded monaurally for proper playback on the 2 speaker/headphone systems in use today. Included is music from the films Hepburn was featured in from 1953 through 1976. I was so enthralled by this music that I had to share it in the high resolution FLAC format. I even designed custom artwork which is also included in the download and can be printed for a slim line CD case should you decide to expand the files to WAVE and make a CD-R of the program, which runs a little over 77 minutes and will fit neatly on one CD-R. I hope you find as much enjoyment listening to this tribute to one of the most enchanting stage and cinema stars of the 20th. Century as I enjoyed putting it together.
