The Best Video Game Music of 2017

This selection is created for everyone who wants to discover new VGM.
You are free to enjoy this result of community and personal efforts!
All the soundtracks were carefully picked to represent variety of Video Game Music. This is not personal selection, so we tried to be as objective as possible.

This compilation consists of 3 sections:
1. Selected Tracks.
3-6 selected tracks from each of Top-50 soundtracks. Arranged by game release date. It is separated into two folders: 1. AAA and mainstream; 2. Everything else (indie games mostly).
2. Extended Cut.
This is additional list of game soundtracks. Each album is represented by a single track (sometimes by medley or mix of tracks). This section was created to show wide diversity of genres and styles of game music. Also arranged by game release date.
3. Full Albums and Selections
This section contains full albums from Top-50 but most of long albums were shortened to 20-25 tracks.
Soundtracks are arranged alphabetically, but you can use playlist where they are sorted by game release date.

If you cannot find your favorite VGM'17 in this list it's perfectly fine, we still love you <3. This compilation was created for discovery of something new, not for satisfying personal egos.

Again, I want to express my gratitude for making this happen. In reality, most of us are too busy to play every games ever got released. Loving games music is one, affording the time to listen to all of them is different matter. Back when exploring games is still possible, I remember it felt very good when we came across little gems every now and then. Having access to a lot of soundtrack like this certainly brings back those feeling.

Such compilations serve as a filter (kind of). Essence of the best VGM of the year found. Way too many stuff is released to keep up the pace for a regular busy person. Even in threads you can see folks complaining (rightfully or know is another matter) "xxx or yyy is missing" :)
But we hope it'll also interest people who never listened to various game music albums before (besides the music they hear in the games they play, of course).

The format isn't perfect. Mainly VGM of Western games, PC / Consoles. Japanese and mobile games are usually less represented. But there are no limitations, only VGM of year XXXX matters, nothing else. Of course such things can't be objective, there will always be people saying "The best thing of the year was XXX, it isn't even mentioned". Still we hope our efforts find and please all the listeners.
