Marvel vs. Capcom Soundtrack Classic Collection

On December 1994, Japan received a Arcade game made by Capcom known as X-Men: Children of the Atom. On January 1995, North America would also receive this Arcade game. This fighting game was made by Capcom featuring Marvel Comics characters, the X-Men. This game would introduce a lot of mechanics that would carry on to other fighting games; especially in the eventual Marvel vs. Capcom series. Children of the Atom would be followed by Marvel Super Heroes, a game also featuring Marvel Comics characters, four X-Men character from the previous game, alongside newcomers such as Spider-Man, Captain America and Hulk. Marvel Super Heroes expanded further on what COTA started. The success of these two games would spark the creation of the Marvel vs. Capcom series which started with X-Men vs. Street Fighter, followed by Marvel Super Heroes vs. Street Fighter, Marvel vs. Capcom: Clash of Super Heroes, Marvel vs. Capcom 2: New Age of Heroes, Marvel vs. Capcom 3: Fate of Two Worlds/Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3, and as of recent, Marvel vs. Capcom Infinite.

I created this thread because I had a difficult time finding the soundtracks to these amazing games. I took the time to compile official soundtrack extractions that began as FLAC files before I converted them to MP3 via Audacity (Bitrate set to Extreme, 220-260kbps). In case no one wants MP3 files, lossless FLAC files will be provided as well. I did some minor touches here and there like naming the artists and giving each soundtrack the official cover artwork for them. I used the Capcom Wikia to find the composers for specific tracks and VGMdb for others. Some Capcom composers that you are fully aware of may be under a different alias. I wanted to use the name given for the soundtracks. More info down below at the download links.

This collection will feature soundtracks from X-Men vs. Street Fighter to Marvel vs. Capcom 2; excluding Marvel vs. Capcom 3/Ultimate MVC3 and Marvel vs. Capcom Infinite primarily because it features arrangements from the Biohazard/Resident Evil franchise which is not allowed on this website unfortunately. I will also be including X-Men: Children of the Atom and Marvel Super Heroes as bonuses. Besides, they technically started the MVC series!

Hopefully with this collection, people will no longer have any issue searching for the soundtracks~

Marvel vs. Capcom 2: New Age of Heroes

Notes:
- As far as I'm concerned, there is no official soundtrack release for this one. I've searched very hard to see if there was anything, but there doesn't appear to be one. So, I guess you can consider this one a ripped soundtrack.
- UPDATE! Included FLAC version of MVC2 which is a rip of the Dreamcast version. The link is from snkhero, so thanks to him/her for the rip.
- Keep in mind, however, that this link is from snkhero. That means I made no modifications to track names or artist names. Only the MP3 has the tracks where the artists are tagged to the songs they composed/arranged. There is also a remix of the Character Select theme on the FLAC rip, but I don't know what that really is. I think that's Dreamcast exclusive?
- Also, this FLAC ost does not contain the Network theme
- I grabbed the logo for MVC2 for the album art. I apologize that it looks lame in comparison. That's the consequence of not having an official soundtrack release. (I know there's a MVC2 Mixtape release that was for the PSN and Xbox Live ports, but I don't wanna grab that. I also don't want to use the album art there because that album art is for the Mixtape Album, not the in-game OST.)

UPDATE! Included FLAC version of MVC2 which is a rip of the Dreamcast version. Thanks to snkhero since he/she had the link. HOWEVER, the FLAC version does NOT contain the Network Theme and the tracks do not have the proper artists tagged in there. Also, there's a Character Select remix in there and I'm assuming it's a Dreamcast exclusive track (I guess?). I will also include the MVC2 Mixtape (the one that came in the PSN/Xbox Live port) in the future.

Alright, so for those who wanted UMVC3 and MVCI OSTs, I now have them again. However, I do not have a FLAC OST of UMVC3 at the moment; only MP3.

Again, if you want these OSTs, you'll have to PM me because it's against the rules to have it on here. Otherwise, you have the Classics right here~

Okay, Album Art had disappeared from here too... Jeez, what's going on with that?

Anyway, I probably should point out that those who want the MvCI soundtrack will only get the Pre-DLC Soundtrack. What does that mean? It means that the DLC Character Themes aren't present. If you wanted Sigma or Venom's themes, then sorry, you won't find them here. :/
