May I please have the links? I remember that beautiful theme from seeing this on tired VHS tapes in middle school... I am a lot better, thanks. I think my problem is that I started using public buses a lot more frequently, and they're basically a big metal box filled with warm humid air in which nasty germs thrive. Yuk.

Well, that's all folks. We've reached the end of the trail. No more music from Centennial. As I said at the start, the scores for parts 10, 11 & 12 were not available - but this isn't so terrible when you consider that the vast majority of the best music has already appeared in the previous episodes.

There is one cue I'd love to have - from Episode 11, which deals with the Depression and the ravages of the Dust Bowl. A housewife is driven mad by the howling of the wind and the creeping invasion of dust into her home; Addison scores this like a horror movie, with an eerie wordless female vocal - an element he doesn't use anywhere else in the score. Pity that cue is missing.

Maybe some day we'll have everything. And in stereo. Who knows? Stranger things have happened. But I'm sure we're all grateful for the five hours that we do have (and thought we'd never have).

I've passed on all the positive reactions to the private collector who made this possible. Thanks to him, Centennial is finally out of the dusty vaults and playing in people's homes.

Hey, feedthecats, when you originally posted this a few weeks back - did you ever think back then you would get the response that you have actually received? It seems to be pretty popular for mini-series from back in the late 1970's.

I knew that this was on a LOT of people's wish lists - but I wasn't sure if the demographic here on the Shrine would reflect that level of interest. Obviously people of a certain age who actually saw the series, and have fond memories of the music, would be more enthusiastic about this share. And it does seem that there are quite a lot of those here.
